Why do YouTube make it impossible to reset your password?

I reset my Youtube password quite easily yesterday. Just need to remember your username and/or email.

I put in my email and it sends me an email with "these are the youtube accounts associated with this email." I click "reset" next to my youtube account to reset the password, and it takes me back to the page where it asks for my email address. I put it in again and it sends me the same email with the youtube accounts with "reset" next to them, which takes me back to that same page again...on and endless loop.

Oh, I got in another way and managed to change it. BUT THE ENDLESS LOOP THING DOES EXIST.
