WILL THE NEW RED DWARF BE SHIT???

That was much better than the first part - the Blade Runner references espeically, like the image enhancement gag (which was very good) and then visiting the guy called Swallow who makes noses (instead of Chew who made eyes), and of course finding the fake snake scale in the bathtub.

I'm not sure about the "OH WE'RE JUST TV CHARACTERS!!!" thing. The League of Gentlemen just about got away with doing it. I don't know if Red Dwarf will.

Isn't the plot just ripped off from the League of Gentleman movie (which I never watched)?

It was better than the first part and I did laugh a couple of times (when Kryten and Rimmer were talking out of the side of their mouths and when Rimmer killed Russian Tits) and I liked the references to previous episodes. And having it take place in a universe where Red Dwarf has had ten seasons can explain why they haven't resolved the cliffhanger and why Kryten has new abilities and stuff.

What was with Cat leaving the gold foil everywhere?

It's the EXACT SAME PLOT (except The League of Gentlemen film actually used some really good blue screen techniques to get various characters played by the same actor together)

Either it's reference to Gaff leaving behind oragami in Blade Runner and/or it's some wierd plot point that'll come up in the next episode.

I thought when Russian Tits appeared she might have followed the foil to find them but if she said so then I didn't understand it anyway.

And back we went to "total shit".

I have no idea if that would make ANY form of sense to people who haven't seen Blade Runner.

Chloë Annett was (as ever) hot when she was Rachel, though.

Where did you get the name "Rachel" from? Or is that another Blade Runner reference? The whole thing should have just been a bonus disc in a Blade Runner special edition.

I was glad that it turned out the Red Dwarf reality was "real". Still wasn't very good. I did laugh at the "I'm going back to the Priory" line (HE DOES DRUGS LOL) and I thought Craig Charles's acting was good (like a real actor!) and Chloe Annett is fit and her cameo was nice. But meh.

Yeah, her hair and clothes were the same as Rachel's in Blade Runner (which is why she has terrible 80's hair in the car scene).

Ah-h-h-h.

The words "WE'RE REFERENCING BLADE RUNNER LOL" should have appeared on screen every 8 seconds to help the confused.

I forgot to watch it. Dwarf was one of the few shows that felt was better off with a Laughter track, to add to the sitcom feel.

I'll probably like it, because I've always been a clueless fan.

It does feel much warmer with the laughter.

If a man dressed very badly as Bagpuss had been introduced to the main cast in place of The Cat with no explanation, would it have been better?

Got it on DVD and finally watched it. It was horseshit. The only amusing bit for me, was when Lister had the creator's typewriter. The rest was an unispiring mash of convoluted, unamusing rubbish. Should have left it alone.

Kochanski was the best part. That's saying something.

The best part was when the credits rolled at the end.

Because of the song.

I couldn't stop looking at Robert Llewellyn's non-disguised eye wrinkles.

Watching it reminded me of seeing Debbie Harry on stage in the late 90's.

I just kept on saying (in my head) stop it, stop it, I know you need the money, but please, stop it!

What's Red Drwarf? wikipeedia has no entry!
