Will TK go dark on the 18th?

I think they renamed it the "Occupy Holy shit it's fucking COLD Out Here Movement". Then that morphed into the "There's Only Like Three Of Us Left Movement", which allied itself with the "Hey You Guys Wanna Bail Movement" and they refocused their efforts into the "Occupy Denny's Movement Because They Got That Cheap Breakfast Menu".

Goddamn motherfucking assholes.

I was ready to climb up on the roof to watch the world burn. Now I just have to go to work.

I used to know a girl who went to gay nightclubs because she wasn't comfortable with her own sexuality.

Whoever discovered water wasn't a fish if you catch my meaning...

:(

When is it ever not? Elections are as rigged as the Badlands elections were before Ily and I became Supreme Dictators for life. But they aren't anywhere near as entertaining.

What do you mean - rigged elections?!? There was nothing wrong with those elections, they were completely and decidedly legit, nobody tampered with any ballot papers, no dual accounts were permitted to vote, nobody accidentally banned any voters during the time of elections, and nobody, NOBODY explored any loopholes in the rulebooks. NOBODY.

If you don't believe me, here's further proof:

So let me get this straight - Because some parts of the internet may be censored, sites voluntarily censor themselves in protest? Reminds me of those people who bought a bunch of wine and dumped it in protest of something or other. Still got bought didn't it?

Revolution sure ain't what it used to be.

L O L

The world is stupid.

I'm afraid your pessimism is misplaced, to say the least. The blackout HAS worked. Obama has said he will veto it if it passes, and one by one supporters in Congress are backing off and withdrawing support.

Also something we have now is some very large companies with financial interests that will be hurt by SOPA and PIPA. This is where a lot of the muscle is coming from to fight these horrible bills.
You also seem to misunderstand what the point of the blackout is. People respond to inconvenience. It's one thing to read about what things will happen if these pass, it's quite another thing for the general public to get a small taste as to how it will impact *them*. Large sites blacking out for the day, is enough of an inconvenience to get peoples' attention.

This has always been where the true key to this matter lay, and why SOPA was never really a threat. Studios who think they still carry the clout they used to should take a lesson from Kodak...the internet and its money players run the world, very soon now indeed.
