Me too. Whilst it may not have had some of the bells & whistles that Vista has, it's flexibility & user-friendly interface were ideal as an access point.
I think I've managed to rectify most of the important stuff. I'm still working my way through various stuff that I backed up, but I've had to contact Kaspersky to get my download back - that was defo FUBAR. Hopefully they'll listen to my please - if I was the dishonest sort I'd just Torrent that fuck with a cracked key, but it just isn't me.
I'm taking the bastard in to get somebody to install Windows 7 for me thereafter, with a list of stuff to make sure is installed where I want it. It'll be worth the money in saving me from the grief it's caused.
