Wordfilters which have outlived their usefulness

I am still on dial up. I will probably always be on dial up :rwmad: Fucking cow pastures. I follow Spectrum Bridge because they always have the news on rural broadband, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I use adblock on most of the big px, but I know it doesn't work on all the image sites (like for some reason I can't block images linked from wikipedia).

ALSO, why is blue jeans filtered? Was it a joke or something? Or is it linked to some script thing? I didn't even know it was filtered til I read this thread. Guess I've never posted about jeans before.

That was the assumption until people went ahead and posted these things and worse with no spoiler tags or NSFW warning, just to be pissants.

Why make the staff comb through every post every day, when we already know that these images/sites are trouble, and that most dull-minded trolls can't be trusted? ;)

It doesn't stop people from doing it. All it takes is to not have the offending word in the image title. It just makes it more difficult for those of us who are doing it right.

Those "pissants" are the reason we have daycare. However, the reason we haven't seen a lot of those shock images lately isn't because of the filter. It's because nobody posts those images any more. As I said upthread, they're outdated and outdone.

Mods don't have to comb through every post. If someone is offended, they'll tell the mods. Jack, Marquis, and a few others lately have been happy enough to inform the mods of certain posters' wrongdoings. On the other hand, if nobody complains, then they must not be offended.

See, the mods aren't here to walk a beat, making sure every poster is in line. They're here to mop up the shit that the monkeys smear on the walls AFTER people have broken the rules and upset someone's delicate sensibilities.

Nice work, Conchaga. Making Charles sound like a whiny bitch isn't that big of a deal, I mean I know it's fairly easy to do, still I tips my hat to you. :D
