Those that see a problem have already been labelled as malcontents and troublemakers...I hope you like your (our) scarlet letters.

Those that see no problems...well...that says it all.


The current WF administration has destroyed their credibility completely, the only thing that would even begin to fix it is a new board owner and purging of all mods. Then give the membership the bigger say in who are mods, than the owner making unilateral decisions. (Tech admins are a different story), also the owner would need an EXTREMELY rarely used power to veto mod choices from membership...just so you don't get things like "teh baba" being a mod.

But Elwood has already said he is going to hold on to the board no matter what...That in itself speaks volumes about his priorities.
 
It's a pride thing. Elwood will not take any suggestions other than those from his "prized" staff. And even then, only a few of them have his ear.

Some boards have been able to elect mods and even admins successfully, One of the LoNAF bunch would have to fill you in on how that works.

The EFCL .... well, if nothing else it's proof that democracy can only go so far on a message board.

electing them would be icing on the cake. What they need is staff turnover. The Eliteforge clique of being appointed for life is what causes them to lose touch with the regular posters, and appointing a bunch of "good 'ol boys" observers does nothing to make that go away...it appears they are appointed for life too.
 
I guess maybe the modship should go through a complete change every six months or something, with only the owner staying the same.
 
Now, now, you know they try to leave but Elwood begs them to stay because he needs them.

At least that's the usual spiel when they are on their crosses.

Judging by the responses Volpone's thread received in the Gray Room, there is no chance in hell any legitiamte complaints would be listened to. They would be condescendingly dismissed, or put on the long list of "things to get to".

But I've known that for years. You guys are just playing catch up, as far as I'm concerned. ;)
 
How about the most senior mod having control of the board but being different from the owner?
 
TEll me something I don't already know?

One only has to look at the situation dealing with the unbanning of Storm, Gul, and Crosis to see that Eliteforge is in full force.

Even then it doesn't matter. They all chat off board to prevent anyone from seeing anything they don't want public.
 
Storm just flamed me twice in the HD. Is he going to be warned? Probably not. In fact, others are saying *I* should be warned for my reply.

There is no hope people. WF is hopelessly fucked up.
 
I agree. While reading that thread the only thing I can think is "What the hell has happened to this place?"

Shooter also blatantly flamed me in that thread, but will garner no repercussions.

Simply because most of Eliteforge dislikes me.

Tell me again how WF and its staff are fair?

I'm done with trying to advocate change over there.

Y'all are on your own. EliteForge is alive, and well.

I simply don't have the RL time nor inclination to fight a losing battle.
