Both Riker boys had a love-hate relationship with Bajorans. Maybe their dad THE ADMIRAL used to solicit Bajoran concubines during the occupation, and handed down his lack of respect to them.
 
Glad to know I wasn't the only one awake at that time watching Trek. I fell asleep at the end though. :(
 
I watched Ensign Ro then turned off when Silicon Avatar started (it's okay but not worth watching at 3am.)

Riker's dad was an admiral? I thought he was just high-powered consultant or something.

Ensign Ro was a good character, it's too bad she left.
 
She was going to be in DS9 instead of Kira but Michelle Forbes said "no no no". Actually, she probably only said "no" once.
 
Yeah, she said she didnt want a regular role on tv, before getting regular roles on tv in Homicide life on the street, 24, and BSG.

Maybe she just didnt like Avery Brooks
 
Well, she was only in three eps od BSG (and Razor.)
 
At the time, she got a starring role in that hip edgy movie Kalifornia, so she thought her film career was taking off. But she wasn't totally anti-Trek, she came back to do "Preemptive Strike", the 2nd to last TNG episode...

She's in that new HBO show "In Treatment" with Gabriel Byrne, but I can't bring myself to watch it yet. Byrne plays a therapist and most of the action takes place in his sessions. Kind of like "Dr. Katz" only without the comedy or shaky animation.
 
I was going to say "Or Frasier", but then I remembered he did the radio show, and we hardly ever saw Niles treat people.
 
Great name she had, it went with just about any designation they cared to give her. Ensign, Lieutenant, Commander, Captain...etc.

She plays Byrne's estranged wife, and I've only seen her in one show (probably because I've only watched one) and it was tough to watch, but she's EXCELLENT --I've never seen her act that well.
