Worst characters in Star Trek

The Jake Sisko character continues to be annoying (I'm watching season 4).

Why did they give Curroc Lofton a main star credit?

Because he one of the main leads.

Which was most unfortunate really.

I suppose it's always difficult trying to weave a kid into a story about a group of adults. He was probably there as someone for younger viewers to identify with, but I was never interested in the lame things him and Nog were up to. I wanted it to cut back to the A story.

I found his character just annoying and uninteresting.

Hell the actor just LOOKED annoying.

Big Sisko has the holding his fingers together thing, which later on changed to a rubbing his bald head thing.

There was a recent episode I watched where they were in the Defiant, It was called "Starship Down." During the episode Nice, smily Doctor guy goes and rescues Woman with wierd tattoo who holds her hands behind her back from a hull breach. Human Ape woman turns to Sisko on the bridge and tells him that his best friend (tattoo Dax person) is most likely dead.

His reaction?
He puts his two fists together like Adam West used to do in the 1960's when a villian had got away. It was beyond lame.

Therefore, I put it to you that Big Sisko is a crap character - or actor.

I liked the episode.

They used some "old school" submarine type technology/tactics in the episode. Although a reference to it being that would have been nice (perhaps I missed it?).

He has another life as a jazz musician, opera singer and college professor (true story, look it up), as well as a wearer of outrageous clothes that even Lady Gaga would think were "a bit much, really".

I liked the episode.

Sisko was more annoying at the start of the show. He got better as things went on, it seemed to me.

I liked younger Jake Sisko when he was still acting like a kid -- he and Nog made a good comic duo. But he became boring once he became a "journalist" and spoke in nothing but old newpaperman clichés.

OUR READERS WANT TO KNOW!

I liked when those scruffy people from the other side of the island kidnapped Jake, and Sisko was all like "JAAAAAAAAAAKE!" and then he thought about it for a minute, shrugged, and said "Meh."

I loved that episode.

All of em?

Q had a baby with Janeway who was played by the actor's son (Q2). It was all pretty dicey.

And then there was the time they somehow ended up in the US Civil War as foreplay.

Uh, yeah. Unh-uh.

Q & Janeway never had a baby together. Q wanted to, but Janeway refused. Q had a baby instead with that other Q chick. Q thought having a baby with her would unite the Q continuum or something silly like that. The Q War was only perceived to be the US Civil War by Janeway & her crew, the actual Q War could not be comprehended by human minds. Q even stated that the muskets they were firing were actually Q weapons.

WELL I GUESS YOU Q'ed ME THERE EH PRISCILLA???

:)

What the readers want to know is why he was on the show so much.

I never really liked him, but the comedy dual was alright. I did like the episode with them and the self sealing stem bolts.

On Sisko's acting, its possible he only seemed bad because he was surrounded by better actors for the most part.

If Avery Brooks had been on voyager or enterprise he would have been like Olivier.*

*Piccardo excluded.
