He can't be that bad a singer. He made it quite far last season on The Masked Singer.

I had recording a HEADBANGERS match on VHS from 1998 or so and thought it must have been one of the last Gorilla did...turnes out he was doing commentary right up until death.

I started watching WWF wrestling around 1996-1997(the one good thing my college ex girlfriend introduced me to). I wish I had paid more attention to the commentators. I probably heard Gorilla comment on matches and never knew his name.
 
He would have only been on the weekend shows then (the least important ones.)
