Watched Halloween Havoc 1997. Incredible event. Piper working Hogans asshole for some inexplicable reason is going to live rent free in my head.

I think that spot literally ended Savage's career. I mean he wrestled a few more years, so not literally, but he had a bad leg until he took time off in 1998 and when he came back he was so roided that he couldn't do anything. Then his heart exploded.

pretty sure i saw him say he blew out his ACL and ripped up his meniscus during that spot, its 1 thing for a 20yo to recover from its another for a beat up 40yo whos been on the road 20+ years.

It ends young athletes careers.

It was fucking dreadful in every single way possible, the only remotely noteworthy bit was Hawk Hogan and Mr Poffo legit beating the ever loving piss out of a genuine fan who stormed the ring in a Crow Sting mask, they both stiffed him like he owed them rent.

How the fuck that shambles of a cage stayed together was another thing. I don't think I've ever seen a more shoddy cage in a wrestling match, including the indies.
