OK, so this isn't breaking PROFOUND new ground that we don't all realise. I mean, Attitude Era was more dangerous, fun and exciting than the current product is hardly a hot take is it, but he does make some other good points that are not so broad as well:



Elimination Chamber being the last PPV (I just can't make myself call them PLE's but then when I write PPV I have to explain that point and WASTE EVERYONES TIME) before WrestleMania is a pretty large indictment on the product right now. Nothing happens lol. Nothing that MATTERS anyway. There has been talk about them struggling to sell tickets to Vegas this year and while that is almost certainly more to do with the INSANE ticket prices, I don't think anybody is chomping at the bit to see what happens at Mania this year.

The whole product feels so fucking sanitized and flat. The music sucks, the atmosphere sucks, the storylines are barely even there. It feels very low effort even compared to the senile Vince years. HHH seemed to be starting out pretty well at first but this is just bad across everything now?

I mean, the whole Rock final boss thing was slapdash and felt badly thrown together in places, but it at least made you want to see what was going to happen I guess? This Mania feels like it has NOTHING.

I wish AEW has tighter PPV's that started earlier!
 
I know it's a running joke whenver we watch one of the shows, but the BARRICADE SPOT they do on every show (90% of the time with Roman) is a good MICROCOSM of what you're talking about. It's so predictable and routine. It's never really exciting anymore. It's never a surprise. I watched the Diesel/Bret Hart match from Survivor Series 95 a few weeks ago and the one table spot they do is COMPLETELY unexpected and feels fucking raw and real...



(22.36 if you just want to see the table spot - it's a great match though and I recommend it!)

You'd NEVER get something that shocking today. They'd have to clear all the monitors and PENS off the table first and you'd know it's coming.

Perfect fit. She gets to run around with Marina, and she's part of a group with the Death Riders instead of trying to carry promos and programs all by herself, which she is incapable of.
 
I doubt she'll be around for long. She'll promote her fight with Carano and do a tag match with Marina against Toni and Mina (though the idea of Ronda Rousey wrestling Mina Shirakawa feels like a big clash in styles.)

It would be fun if they gave her a live mic tomorrow and just let her shoot on Vince and TKO...
 
 
Dusty Rhodes commentary at early 90s WCW shows, The guy is a true pioneer, a LEGEND in both the history books of the NWA and WCW.

But boy does he talk an absolute load of bollocks when he's on colour commentary, total fucking nonsense every single thing that comes out of his mouth.
