2023 WWE Royal Rumble Results​


At the 2023 Royal Rumble, a post-match attack on Kevin Owens by victorious Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns led Sami Zayn to attack The Head of the Table. Minus a conflicted and emotional Jey Uso, who left in disgust, The Bloodline then issued a merciless beatdown on Zayn. Plus, Cody Rhodes returned to win the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, and Rhea Ripley triumphed in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match to earn title opportunities at WrestleMania, Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair bested Alexa Bliss, and Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy took turns putting down LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match.

Pro wrestler, manager 'Leaping' Lanny Poffo dies at 68​


Lanny Poffo, who wrestled and served as an on-screen manager for the then-WWF during the 1980s and early '90s, died at the age of 68, WWE announced Thursday. Known as "The Genius" and also as "Leaping" Lanny Poffo during his time in the ring, he found his greatest success as the manager of "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig. Poffo is the real-life younger brother of wrestling legend "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He made his wrestling debut in 1974 and went on to win the NWA tag-team titles with his father, Angelo Poffo. He joined WWF in 1985 as "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, a babyface man who would read a short poem written on a frisbee before tossing it to the crowd. But he's better known as "The Genius," an arrogant role he adopted in 1989 where he berated his opponents.

WWE Elimination Chamber results: Roman Reigns title run continues​

February 18, 2023

Roman Reigns has faced all types of challengers over his 900-day run, and he added another name on Saturday night by defeated Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber. This time around, however, there was additional drama as the fractures in The Bloodline appeared more significant than ever. Zayn had gradually become the biggest face in WWE, and his ties to The Bloodline ultimately came to an end after a postmatch beatdown at the Royal Rumble. Zayn had another opportunity to do the unthinkable and dethrone Reigns but came up short. Now, he may turn back to his old friend Kevin Owens and see where they can go from here.

Rey Mysterio to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame​


Rey Mysterio, arguably the greatest masked wrestler of all time, will be immortalized by the world's biggest professional wrestling promotion. Mysterio, whose real name is Oscar Gutierrez, has been a professional wrestler since 1989 when he was 14 years old. He has had 23 championship reigns between WWE and WCW and was also a winner of the WWE Royal Rumble in 2006. The legendary Mexican-American high-flier comes from a wrestling family. His uncle, the original Rey Misterio, was his first trainer in Tijuana and passed down his mask and lineage, a tradition in lucha libre. Mysterio's son, Dominick, is currently a WWE wrestler, and the two are involved in a storyline against each other leading into WrestleMania 39, which takes place over two days on April 1 and 2.
