Magneto & his brotherhood were doing the fighting. As Magneto said "send in the pawns first"...Jean didn't need to do anything while everyone else was out there fighting the X-Men.

Jean acted when she needed to, when Magneto & his brotherhood were defeated & she was attacked upon. I am so sick of fanboys everywhere making this an issue when it is NOT!!
