Yellowjackets

2.6 - Don't know why it wasn't on last week. I saw the twist with the baby coming but it was still very sad.

Everyone deciding to go to Lottie's retreat was pretty contrived but at least they're all together and we can finally find out...stuff?

2.7 - Misty's dream lol. I guess Eggs will never read this thread and find out John Cameron Mitchell played a dancing parrot (I assume he's someone Eggs know!)

Shauna is pretty nuts!

2.8 - When Ben found the cave I was expecting "discovery" to flash up on the screen (I've been playing TOTK a lot.)

2.9 - It's weird that there were only nine episodes in the season. Overall it felt weirdly paced, with the first five episodes being really slow compared to the last four. We didn't really need so much of Natalie hanging around with the cult. Anyway, it was a good, crazy finale. I mean it makes no sense at all (Walter's whole solution to the cop problem would not work in real life!) but it was very entertaining.

I hope Ben survives and comes back to try to kill them all as adults at some point!

Main character death spoiler

Sophie Thatcher is a much better actor than Juliette Lewis (sorry but it's true!) so we'll still have the superior version of Natalie in the show!

Man, I

I started watching season 2 and it's not a bad show, I think it's very good but I find the violence and cannibalism so unpleasant to watch, I don't think I wanna keep going

Well, those things continue so...

I'm generaly not bothered by that type of thing - the first big cannibalism scene of the season just made me think "wow that looks just like roast chicken" - but there was one cannibalism scene near the end of the season that freaked me out. I remember when I started watching The Walking Dead I thought I'd be bothered by all the gore but usually just shrugged it off with "it's not real." Extended scenes of people suffering I find harder to take.

Probably not much point in continuing to post in this thread since no one else will reply but:

The end of episode 3.3 was lol but it got us a couple of minutes of Ella Purnell so maybe I was laughing with happiness.

I finally figured out that Adult Tai is the worst character and any scene with her is a total waste.

I'm glad this show is finally back, I really like both actresses that plays Lottie. They both do a really good job of playing crazy. I enjoy the scenes in the past more than the scenes in the present. I do love Christina Ricci though.

The only casting choice where I struggle to see the same character in the different time periods is Taissa.

3.4 - The trial stuff was really good. And made me hate young Shauna a lot at the end.

I love Jeff and was happy for him when everyone loved his bingo calling.

Teen Shauna straight up intimidated the jury, Natalie should have called it a mistrial. Poor Lottie, I think she sacrificed herself. The actress who plays teen Shauna does a really good job of making me hate her.

Yellowjackets - Watched the first four episodes, enjoying it so far. The easy comparison to make is Lost but with a high school girls soccer team crashing in the Canadian wilderness. And possibly without the supernatural stuff (though maybe not!) So you get to see them both as teenagers struggling to survive and as adults twenty five years later, played by different actors obviously. I will say that, so far, I'm more into the flashback stuff than the present day stuff and sometimes feel a bit of a disconnect (one of them has an evil child, or something?) Also they have to talk in a way where they don't give away too much about what happened in the woods. But the present day stuff has Christina Ricci being a lot of fun as the best character. Then again the younger actress playing the same character is also good! Anyway, I like it, seems like the kind of thing we'd all have watched and posted THEORIES about ten years ago.
I’m not going to read more because I’m just queuing it up on Netflix. Hope it grabs my attention (I need a good series to binge watch right now).
