A thread in which you will accept that John De Lancie's delivery of "you'll find out" deserves 57,389,386 Oscars and that this is probably the best scene of anything ever filmed.
It's a perfect moment when everything comes together: the shot, the acting, even the timing of when the chair starts pulling backward as he cocks his head back in that almost SEXY manner.
Unfortunately, Q was allowed to jump the shark with his DS9 and VOY guest spots.
Imagine if they hadn't obliterated the Maquis on DS9. They could have been the core of a great story where DS9 characters were involved, and Picard had to choose between Starfleet and his comrades who are making too much sense for his comfort. The actors would have had something to act with.
But TNG movies didn't seem to get a greenlight unless there was an obvious big bad guest star who wants to destroy something. Nuance was a no-no.
Stargate never took itself too seriously from the beginning (except the movie), but it dumbed down a lot over the years even to the point of basically recreating the destruction of the Death Star, with Richard Dean Anderson as Luke, who goes on to make a quip about how much of a Star Wars rip off it was.
Anyway, AGT was such a great finale. Much better than you might've expected considering the rest of the 7th season. Brings a tear to me eye.
It's a shame they didn't use the "charting the unknown possibilities of existence" line as a directive for all future Trek, instead of just relying on formula (with DS9 being the exception to some degree.)

Which ironically only DS9 could do once they broke the 'Space Station' formula by relying on what was on the other side of The Wormhole, and the introduction of Runabouts.
