ZOMG Torchwood was actually good!

Who cares? I liked having two episodes in one week.

But if you're watching the BBC3 episodes it means no new episode for two weeks.

Well don't fucking watch them then. It's just a scam to make you watch that BBC3 show with Freema Agyemon about unusual medical incidents.

SHE HAS A NICE VOICE OKAY????

And ass.

Next week they show how Captain Birdseye died. :(

John Barrowman's acting is just embarrassingly bad sometimes. Like in most of this episode.

I thought the two women in his flashback were Darla and Drusilla for a minute (only not as hot.)

How come they didn't show Spike's face at the end? Is it just a shitty quality hologram?

Spikes face showed up just fine on the HD version.

WELL OOLALA MISTER FRENCHMAN

It showed up on my crappy non-HD 14" screen as well.

Totally agree about Jack's acting. I think it's mostly those little gay nuances that annoy me. I know he probably can't help them, but they're fucking irritating. And he holds his gun in a moronic fashion. When he was with Toshiko at the beginning he was holding it behind his head pointing in the opposite direction while talking to her. It was just bizarre.

Also.. oh, this is the "Torchwood was good" thread..

Well okay, some bits weren't bad. It was interesting to see how they all came together, although I find it hard to believe that Ianto was supposed to be about 23 in his flashbacks.

Jenny thinks Ianto is looking more and more like Chandler Bing in every episode

Poor old Jenny being subjected to this. Does she agree to watch Torchwood with you if you promise to watch Eastenders with her? :)

Yeah, although I often manage to still avoid eastenders.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!

Why was Jack so against hiring Owen in the flachback anyway? Surely having more than three employees would be helpful?

Would YOU want to hire Owen?

Do you both mean Ianto? I wouldn't want to hire any of them besides Tosh.

yeah, I meant Ianto. With Owen it seems like Jack intentionally didn't give him retcon so that Owen would be emotionally crippled enough to come work at Torchwood.

The death scenes were pretty good, considering it was Torchwood. They finally explained Tosh's Doctor Who appearance and Owen got to do a Spock death. Look out for him returning next season as RADIOACTIVE OWEN.

Was Spike supposed to be under the control of Grey in the first episode of the season? Why didn't he just go to 28 AD and dig up Jack one year later, rather than try to do it nearly 2000 years later?

At least there wont be any next week!!
