If Elwood didn't have final veto power over ownership changes and if it wasn't likely because of this that someone like Bear would probably take over if Lanz stepped down then IMHO Cass would be a decent owner, assuming that she'd actually wanted to shell out the cash and time it would take to run the board again.

Not that I have an opinion on who should run WF, but it appears that there is an impasse.

Apparently Lanzman was on the top of the list of successors to own the board when Elwood decided to sell. According to comments made by Bear there was a list of successors that was created when Elwood took the board away from Borgs. Lanzman was at the top of the list when Elwood decided to give up the board for whatever reason.

It's too bad personality isn't a factor in that decision. Why Elwood would ever think Lanzman has the capacity to manage and run a board is an interesting thought to ponder.
