The opening stuff with Jin and the french team was the best part. It's always good to see the Smoke Monster get its violence on. If it really does "brainwash" people then I guess that's what's happened to the Others and why they're so willing to kill and die for the island.
Montad didn't so much lose his arm as his arm lost Montad. And it wasn't in the place Danielle said it was in season one. Of course any inconsistencies in her story can be explained by saying "well it was sixteen years ago and she's crazy so she got things jumbled up".
I liked the part where Jin hugged Sawyer (or is it James now?)
Charlotte dying did annoy me since it was so obvious it would happen and they never gave her anything to do until this episode. I mean surely they could have revealed some of her backstory previously instead of just dropping it all in when she was on her deathbed? It just came across like "well this character's dying so here's her backstory and a Geromino Jackson reference, oh and a Klingon joke too the nerds love those, okay, bye!" My theory about her being Ben's daughter doesn't seem to hold up now, since I thought Ben wouldn't have known about her but it seems she stayed on the island for years with her mum and dad. Maybe Annie took her off because Ben warned her that he was about to kill everyone in the purge. But how can that be reconciled with Ben shooting her the first time he saw her? Unless he just didn't want a ginger daughter.
I guess she was supposed to be time jumping but instead of seeing actual flashbacks we just got her having to talk like a little girl, which came across a bit stupid (NOT REBECCA MADER'S FAULT I'M SURE SHE'S GREAT.) I guess Daniel is going to try to save her in the past, even though he already knows that "what's happened has happened" and there's no way to change the timeline. Which makes it kind of pointless.
I'm glad Jin asked HOW JOHN KNOWS HE HAD TO BRING EVERYONE BACK since there's no explanation for it (and John didn't even have one!) And surely him righting the wheel will stop the time flashes, so why does he still have to bring them all back?
The Oceanic Six stuff doesn't interest me and the Sun story iin particular is stupid. I wish they'd just hurry up back to the island.
DO YOU REALISE this was the first time Ben and Desmond have actually talked to each other? I hope we see more. Where's Penny and Charlie? Would Desmond really go back to the island and leave them (or will he be forced to go back)?
It LOOKS like MRS sqwarkings DHARMA station is have a POWER cut as she has to use LOTS of candles (Marvin CANDLES Ha ha hA!!)
Indeed.
