I could understand not going to sites like RC or DG without a proxy. Like I said, if they were going to do anything with your IP, "they" have other means of getting it.
Fact is, nobody cares about your IP. It's closed registration to prevent sock infestations like TK and RH, which ends up destroying discussion and threads.
Furthermore, you post at Mock, which is a no proxy zone and you have never bitched about that.

Jibbles answered it better than I could. See his response. Joining a forum like spinflip takes a little leap of faith given our respective histories. For the existing members it is a leap of faith when someone like jack for example comes and says, "I'm ready to sit at the grownups table" and for new members coming in it's a leap that says, "I can come as myself and trust that my PI will not be abused here."
Spinflip isn't about exclusivity it's about chemistry. Sometimes you gotta tweak the ingredients to get that perfect mix, but be careful how you stir it or that shit'll blow up in your face.
