Star Trek: Picard

Yeah it's a bit annoying that it's not on Netflix when they have literally every other Trek (even TAS!) I should refuse to ever feature the Picard show in Wacky Reviews: Star Trek.

It's OK, when Disney buys Netflix and amazon they will all be under one roof.

I'm hoping to be wrong, but I feel like this show will be disappointing.

Also you put all your eggs in one basket when you name a show after one character, Patrick might wake up one day and think he is too old for this shit, so then you have a show called Picard with no Picard.

I predict a 3-season shelf life by design, which is something they would not disclose upfront.

I don't think it will go past one, at least with him in the lead.

Depends on how many episodes constitutes a season. Could be anywhere from 6 to 18.

I'm sure they signed him to an airtight contract for a certain number of episodes. Not every Trek series has to go seven seasons anyway.

Especially on streaming channels. Netflix is brutal about cancelling shows.

What if it looks like THIS?

Picard never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

I might be impressed if this turns out to be good. Given the people in charge, I doubt it. Surprise me. Please.

As Scotty himself once said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

What have you got against Michael Chabon?

The timing of today’s teaser release was both sentimental and symbolic. Today is the 25th anniversary of “All Good Things,” the final episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The series finale capped a seven season run that established Next Generation as the most enduring small-screen mission in the storied history of the overall Star Trek brand.

And the first episode is just one long sex scene.

But first, a montage of every TNG character who had to wear old age makeup in an episode, and what they look like now.
