Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

SAD! I found out my passport expired in January. You can renew online if it's within a year so that was on my list of things to do, I just needed a photo, but I had time. Then BAM! somehow it's already October. So I decided to get it taken care of today. Kind of pointless, getting a new photo, though, because I basically look exactly the way I did 10 years ago. Got the picture back and had a look at it. Nope. I'm a hideous old man. If I really want to cry, I've got a driver's license from when I was around 19 or 20 in the drawer in front of me. I used to be so beautiful. Now I'm decrepit. :(
So kinda like?

There are a selection of peoples from other cultures here. Question: Where you come from, if you're in a bar with dancing and the DJ happens to play the Billy Idol version of "Money Money" will everyone in the bar yell "HEY, HEY WHAT? GET LAID, GET FUCKED" after "Money, money" every time? Or is that just some Midwest America late 20th century thing?

The worst part is that I never smile in photos. This is a factor of that I'm usually taking a selfie and I'm trying to concentrate on too many things to have an authentic smile and I have no idea how to fake a smile. So, having a photographer, I tried to smile for a couple of the photos and a smiling photo is the one she picked to use. And the problem with smiling when you're Old is that it highlights all the hideous wrinkles. :(

We did that in college on Long Island (NY), at the time I thought it was a Long Island thing. But then I saw a bar crowd in a movie chant it, so maybe it's more universal.

That "South Park" episode where they find out Earth is a reality show that is getting cancelled? That hits close to home today. Humming "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer and realizing I can't think of a song newer than about 2016 and how I don't watch any of the television networks because they're garbage and hating the latest versions of Google, Chrome, and Windows; driving a 2009 car because I hated all the garbage on current cars the last time I drove one. Maybe it's time for the comet to just come and shake the Etch-A-Sketch one more time. Give the cockroaches their shot.

Definitely remember that from around 1987 here in midwest nowheresville.

If I managed a vintage movie theater I would have a summer long Richard Donner festival. Obviously you could buy tickets individually for each movie, but in this case I would also offer a special Donner Pass.

Fun tip: If you're buying gloves and you like a snug fit, make sure you try on the one for your dominant hand. This message brought to you by getting home from the other side of town with a pair of gloves that fit perfectly on my non-dominant hand and won't go on my dominant hand. I knew your hands were different sizes but didn't realize it was to this degree.

HOW THE FUCK DID SOMEONE DECIDE "THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON" WOULD MAKE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE?!

Because I remember them doing it. Brad Pitt and everything (IIRC). How?! It's a terrible idea. I'm rereading my F. Scott Fitzgerald short story collection and it is fine. Not perfect, but a way to kill an evening before television or radio. But the idea is absurd and not anywhere near enough for a feature film. Heck, do "Diamond as Big as the Ritz." It is just as absurd but at least there's enough material to make a 2 hour movie.

I should go see if it made any money, but I can't be assed to.
