A serious question: why do women chase married men

It's "romantic". Some women chase married men because the man in question risks his marriage and family with every phone call or dinner date, with every thought he mumbles under his breath. A man wouldn't even think of pissing on his own shit unless it was worth it, right? It all boils down to one's sense of worth, or value to another actually.

Gear, I think you misinterpreted our intentions. Naturally, I can't speak for all of my fellow females here, but as far as I am concerned I meant to point out that not only are women after married men but men often are after married women and that presumably in both cases the same reasons applied.

No. I didn't misinterpret. The reasons are different and men and women are not the same. In fact, the reasons are completely opposite and couldn't be farther from the same.

If you really believe that, then you know nothing about men and how they function.

Now I may not know anymore then I need to about women, but I can assure you I can speak with authority on the ways and means of men. Why? Because I am one.

I was simply pointing out what took place then having a poke at the girls. Your re. kind of makes me look right wouldn't you say?

Especially after my last encounter, I've realized how dangerous it can be. It also helped me realize something last night.
Put into the mix a woman in a loveless relationship and a man in a loveless relationship. They both want and that is the appeal. The desire and passion is so great and heightened.
Compare that to a single guy who is fishing in the sea, picking up the fish, throwing them back in, sometimes having a feast, sometimes not, but when he meets you he may not be as hungry......unless his meals have been terrible for quite some time. Maybe that is the one I am looking for. I want that hunger and that passion, I do not want complacency.

Totally agree...screw those fat buddhas gorging themselves on fish!!!
Stupid gollums!

U need someone with the same detestable intolerance 4 complacency.

Get fierce.
Get wat u want.
Fuck compromise.

See, Jack, this is why as much as I adore you I don't chase you because I imagine your wife looks very much like this chick - if not physically, she does mentally - and she'd rip my head off and spit down my throat.

No woman knows because no man cares to explain.
I was simply pointing out what took place then having a poke at the girls. Your re. kind of makes me look right wouldn't you say?
Not really. If you re-read my initial reply, you'll see that I answered your question, my point being that not all women lust after married men: I drool a bit over some men who are already in a relationship, but I wouldn't dream of making a pass at them. It's just something one doesn't do. Either the relationship holds, then they are apparently happy and wouldn't be interested in me anyway, or it doesn't, in which case I am ready to take over. No need to interfere in either case. and that I assumed that for those who are interested in married folks, the same reasons applied for both genders:They tend to overlook them as long as they are single and only get interested when someone else got them, the general thought presumably being "if he finds her interesting, there must be something about her.." (or him, as the case may be)

@Day: I wouldn't have expected that. Makes sense, though. Would you also count annoying the husband as a motive? (DEA/iDEA?)

Everything! Seriousely.

There are so many things about men which are so totally not understandable that I don't really know where to start.
Why do men like to watch porn?
What attracts men about horror movies?
Are all men able to have sex with someone they have absolutely no feelings for or are there exceptions?
Why do men so scarcely talk about their feelings (giving women the impression we are expected to read their thoughts which we sadly are unable to do)?
Why do men want sex whenever they have a strong feeling (love, hatred, frustration, aggression, fear)? I suspect it is a case of displacement activity, but am not sure.
Why does for men any form of snuggling have to automatically lead to intercourse? (Sometimes women really just enjoy to snuggle)

Those are propably the biggest mysteries. There are many more but these were the first that came to mind. An explanation to any of them would be most welcome! (Gotta go to work now, though, so you can take your time :)) If there's anything you don't understand about women, please feel free to ask.

Why do men like to watch porn? TITS, PUSSY, ASS.
What attracts men about horror movies? BIMBO TITS
Are all men able to have sex with someone they have absolutely no feelings for or are there exceptions? YES!!!
Why do men so scarcely talk about their feelings (giving women the impression we are expected to read their thoughts which we sadly are unable to do)? GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND MAKE ME A SANDWICH!
Why do men want sex whenever they have a strong feeling (love, hatred, frustration, aggression, fear)? I suspect it is a case of displacement activity, but am not sure. YOUR QUESTION PISSES ME OFF. LET'S FUCK.
Why does for men any form of snuggling have to automatically lead to intercourse? (Sometimes women really just enjoy to snuggle) ARE YOU STILL TALKING? LET'S FUCK ALREADY.

Why do men like to watch porn?

Did you know we have favorite loops and sequences that we have repeat (and sometimes multiple) viewings of?

What attracts men about horror movies?

Girls who grab them, screaming, during the scary parts. Figure it out.

Are all men able to have sex with someone they have absolutely no feelings for or are there exceptions?

Even the one woman I had a one-night stand with I still have deep feelings for (and that was over 25 years ago) so I have no idea what you're jabbering about. If you ever let a man fuck you who has no feeling for you, I think THAT'S where the breakdown is actually happening. Why would you fuck a man who had no feelings for you, is actually the proper question? :D

Why do men so scarcely talk about their feelings (giving women the impression we are expected to read their thoughts which we sadly are unable to do)?

As my stable of Dancers will attest, I talk about my feelings pretty much all the time. That's the biggest attraction for my Dancers and you are probably the BEST example of why men don't share thier feelings with women. The way you responded to all my honest feeling posts is VERY clear why such a dynamic exists out there in the real world.

Why do men want sex whenever they have a strong feeling (love, hatred, frustration, aggression, fear)? I suspect it is a case of displacement activity, but am not sure.

I always want sex. I like how it feels when my cock gets stiff, and what it feels like to be buried into the hilt into a sweet, soft woman who's kissing you and biting your neck while you match her rhythm.

Can't imagine anyone not connected to that flow daily.

Why does for men any form of snuggling have to automatically lead to intercourse? (Sometimes women really just enjoy to snuggle)

You know what? Find a new boyfriend. I love to snuggle and cuddle. I spend 1 to two hours every morning doing just that when we wake up. Coffee, gtreats for the dog, kitties, snuggles, etc.

In fact the difference between snuggling and fucking is the same difference between making out and fucking.

Find a new boyfriend, clealy you've been negatively conditioned by either the one your with, or the sum total of your experiences. Either way, you connect with the wrong type of guy. W're out here, we just don't look like movie stars, and are human, which means you may not agree with everything we think and say.

That honest enough for you?

On a serious note, let me speak as someone who is kinda in a sticky situtation right now. Granted, he's not married, but he's still with someone.

I didn't, and I don't, ever EVER set out to snag a man away from another woman. Contrary to what my parents think, I do have some morals. But sometimes the chemistry is just there, and try as I might to fight it...and believe me, I do fight it with all I've got...there are going to be slips.

You can call me a man-stealing whorecunt slore if you want. But it's a lot more complicated than that. Everyone's situation is different.

Why would you fuck a man who had no feelings for you, is actually the proper question? :D
You wouldn't catch me dead doing that! It's totally unthinkable for me.
I was actually thinking more along the lines of >why do prostitutes have any customers at all and why are there rapists< but wouldn't phrase it that openly in order to not accidentially hurt someone's feelings

Thanks for your frank reply, though. It is very much appreciated, especially as it comes so unexpectedly. Am I to take that as a cease fire or even armistice?

[...]Granted, he's not married, but he's still with someone.

I agree, it's very complicated and everyone's situation is different.
I've been in just the opposite situation as you for a few years: a married man who lives separated from his wife.
One of many problems was that he kept judging me by her levels, completely forgetting about the fact that I am a different person with different opinions, attitudes and cultural background. Apparently I resemble his ex which makes it more difficult for him to make a difference between us.
Luckily, we were both mature enough to realize that it couldn't work and to switch a few gears down to a very good RL friendship.

taken men are desirable because women have daddy issues and daddy was never around and now she needs a daddy who can't be there for her, plus taken men obviously have good qualities: they're taken!

alternatively all women are lesbians and need to say"oh I WOULD get into a relationship but he's married. let's go experiment instead"

No woman knows because no man cares to explain.

I'm not sure that it's as simple as that. In my line of work I talk to a lot of couples and I find that men explain themselves quite well, women just don't like the answers.

I've found that women think men should improve themselves and become more like women want them to be. Men do it sometimes because holding on to a woman can depend on making those compromises, but that's not the norm.

Even this conversation, questions were asked, but then the answers were dismissed, and even though those answers were given in true TK sarcasm, they were essentially true answers. Women just don';t like it, and consider those kinds of answers to be some kind of moral defect. Only it's not a moral question at all, it's a biological one.

Men do like porn because of tits and ass. I mean that's not some deep dark mystery at all. They like it. I'd be more concerned with men if they didn't like it. Women don't like it, but I'd be worried about women if they all loved the tits and ass in male porn.

AND, there is nothing inherently wrong with men liking to watch women being fucked in every orifice they have and some only imagined holes.

Men don't share their feeling [generally] because they don't have a "need" to share them. It's not their biological imperative to sense need in other humans. That's a woman's biological imperative. We nurture. We need to intuit need. Men protect. They only have to be alert to environmental dangers. You don't have to be Einstein to see these differences.

What women need to do [in my opinion] is recognize the differences, work with what is there, and change some things if they can, but if a man refuses to be changed--don't call him an asshole for just being a man.

We've become so safe in our environment that we think that biological imperatives are passe. We're still animals. Born with certain instinctive imperatives. Sure they can be modified somewhat, but lets not pretend that men are all of a sudden not looking to plant their seed in every woman that passes by. That's what men are supposed to do. They in fact are driven to do it. Sure, many curtail that instinct, and bravo for those men and their self control and intelligence. But, the men who don't curtail those instincts aren't Neanderthals. They are just being men.

Why do men want sex when they feel strong emotions? Because that's how they express feelings--physically. Ever seen a man playing pool miss a championship shot? He hits the wall. Ever seen a man's mother called a whore? He hits the offender. Ever seen a man caught breaking into a home and trying to rape the females? He gets hung. Ever seen a man feeling love? He wants to penetrate a woman.

These aren't big mysteries. Men express themselves physically. Women express themselves emotionally and verbally. We do that among our respective genders because those are the biological roles we fill. men are supposed to protect and defend--they have to be physical to do that. Women raise the young. They have to be emotional and verbal to nurture and teach the young.

It's not calculus. And, of course there are exceptions. Not all men are alike, just as not all women are alike. But, these are basic true-isms that women just don't want to look at. I see women acknowledge it and say "sure, sure. Men are hunters, blah blah blah", and then still ask why men don't talk about their feelings.

To be honest, I consider it a weakness for women to need the constant "validation" of a man and his feelings. Men can be really interesting when they talk about what they want to talk about, but boring as hell when forced to talk about what a woman thinks a man should talk about.

It's just not a big mystery when it comes to men, and they are not some kind of lesser being because they don't act like women do, and if you all want a lover to go on and on about his feelings, date a woman.

We were fighting? Oh that's right, you were being a nazi cunt.

actually, you will have difficulties to find someone less nazi-ish than myself. But I have explained my political position so often here that frankly, I am too lazy to repeat it once more.

{{{{{{{Cait!!!}}}}}}} welcome back!! *huge hug*
If I understand you correctly you are saying that men basically are still like they were a few millions of years ago? Wouldn't it be about time for them to catch up with evolution?
LOL sorry, I couldn't resist to be provocative. ;)

I totally value and respect your professional view but my job gives me a rather contrary angle, so from the point of view of a biologist I beg to differ. (Presumably the truth lies somewhere in the middle between us two extremes)
I don't see big genetical differences between the genders. I rather think the main differences are the result of education and environment. How else could one explain the rather different behavoiur many men (both gay and straight ones) show? There are some specimens who are gentle, tender, loving, not afraid of showing their feelings (including their weaknesses), cultivated and able to talk interestingly about arts or literature or just keep up entertaining smalltalk. And there are men who find porn disgusting and rather use their imagination to come up with something of their own that they can enjoy with their partner.
If it was a genetical matter, there wouldn't be that many exceptions to the rule, I think.

And even if it really is a genetical matter: don't many people nowadays change things defined by their genes? Breast implants, permanent wave, hair dye, liposuction etc. come to mind. Or brackets on the teeth, glasses, bras, hearing aids, public transport (sometimes actually faster than using one's own feet ;) ), heart and cancer surgeries.
All these are means to change genetically defined conditions.

Also, we already changed many - presumably genetically defined - very ancient instincts by education. Only few civilisations nowadays permit hurting or killing others, eating each other's offspring, stealing what we wish to have etc. Why not take that last step and change some other less desired instincts?

men don't share their thoughts and feeling because they don't have them at that time.

We don't express a feeling unless we're currently experiencing it. Piss your man off and see his feelings in the color of his neck.

(some)Women will berate you 3 days after you caused a feeling that she didn't like. How are you supposed to even remember why you said her sister was hot?

wanna know what we're thinking? nuthin' (Seinfeld)

there's just a tune in our head, and maybe some random images of monkeys or boobs.
