A serious question: why do women chase married men

I do not want a man to talk about his feelings. I want him to fix the car, mow the yard, build something, buy me jewelry, or do some other manly type thing. I understand and get along very well with that kind of man.

I do like a man who can hold a conversation over dinner. But, it needs to be about something other than his feelings because usually they are feelings about some woman who did him wrong and I really don't want to hear about her.

Then again, I don't chase married men. I don't chase men who want to be married to me either - I run as fast as my little legs can take me away from those guys.

It is a good question though. Why does anyone - male or female - chase after a person who is in a committed relationship with another person? And, why are people who are in a committed relationship flattered by someone other than their partner pursuing them sexually when they know their pursuer knows they are in a committed relationship?

maybe it's partially the attraction everything forbidden has.

I think that is a bit of an overstatement. There is a great deal that is forbidden that is not attractive to me at all. For example, I am not interested at all in having sex in a lava flow. Hmmm...okay. Maybe that isn't so much forbidden as common sense but the concept is the same. Just like there is someone out there who will do something just because it is forbidden there will be someone out there who will do something just because it is stupid.

Everyone in here is either talking about broad generalizations or looking at everything from their own narrow perspective. Everyone is different. Everyone is going to react differently. Everyone needs different things and has had different life experiences that lead them to the different behavior they exhibit. None of these questions can really be answered satisfactorily because they are so ridonculously subjective. As Jack pointed out, some guys like to snuggle. Some girls like porn. Some guys don't like porn (though I think those ones are nuts). And some girls go after guys in relationships because often they see great guys in horrible, abusive relationships and think they can give them better. And some guys in great relationships are just dicks.

I see.

You have fun. Your mistress has fun.
Your wife doesn't have to deal with you sexually (fun for her).

Win, Win, Win!
