Alphas season two

Him being moody about Dani's death would have a lot more impact if he hadn't been moody in every single other episode.

Anyway, good episode! Having an otherwise meek character like Rosen going all hardcore works really well. It's totally convincing under the circumstances and of course very well acted.

I laughed every time the John McEnroe thing came up... I expect he was leaving the FOX studios on a motorbike at the time.

Intense action packed build up to the finale. I think too much went on in this episode, but it was good anyway. Rosen has lost his mind a bit.

GOOD EPISODE.

They referenced Terminator and Summer looked like River when she said "the end of the world!"

I have a bad feeling Rosen's going to die next week. It would be hard to have him go back to normal after all he's done. Plus the whole being shot thing.

"He's from Nigeria. He's feisty."

It's really surprising how far they went with Rosen (and to a limited extent, grumpy Hicks). It's refreshing to have a character who starts out so meek and put upon and see them end up torturing someone. Really torturing, not just bluffing and deciding "no, we can't do this or we'll be as bad as the people we're fighting". As ever, Alphas is much more realistic.

Will be a shame if Rosen dies... yeah, I can see that happening too. The authorities seem to give the Alpha team quite a long leash, but they're bound to find out what's been going on sooner or later, so it seems unlikely he could go back as if nothing had happened. It depends how much info has been getting out.

Yeah, and one of the very best things about Alphas is that they show us Rosen sliding into the darkness, and it all makes perfect sense. There's no character flip flops just to push a storyline.

The finale didn't end the way I expected it to! It was good. I won't say more because I know some of you will read this thread before you see it and I don't want to spoil it or anything.

BUT I WILL SPOIL THIS (not really a spoiler)

Ryan Cartwright ‏@RyanCartwright

Gary stands over the bodies of his fellow #Alphas for a whole month, just waiting for Dr. Rosen to whisper "We're making season 3!"

I don't know if he's saying that they are making season 3, or if he's waiting to find out. :rwmad: BUT there is an exclamation point at the end, SO maybe he's excited because they're making season 3?!! I DON'T KNOW. Google doesn't know if the show has been renewed EITHER. After my internal roller coaster of excitement over that tweet has now ABATED, I think he doesn't know and is waiting to find out.

I bet THE NETWORK told them "look, IF we give you another season we're going to want to axe a few characters to save some money, so come up with an ending where it looks like they could all be dead. Except Gary, obviousyl, we can't kill him."

So either Rosen wakes up AS AN ALPHA or he wakes up dead.

Good finale!

Or it was just a way that it'd have an ending if it got cancelled, although it wouldn't reaaaallly be an ending at all.

Anyway, that was great! I loved how Rosen appeared to become one of those homeless mumblers that everyone ignores in big cities.

Gary's mum being catatonic was horrible, but then it was a bit cheesy when she woke up to tell him to go.

The many Dani's started to become quite creepy.

Something about Gary.

It's funny, the other day I was telling someone how refreshing it was to see Rosen take revenge in a realistic way and not say something along the lines of "if we kill him, we're as bad as he is!", only for him to almost say that exact thing here. At least in this case he'd gone on a proper emotional journey and the subject of ruthless revenge had been believably explored.

Gary saying "that's ok" as Rosen grabbed hold of him for support near the end was my Gary Moment of the Week (close runner up was his series of adorable expressions when he told his mum he was glad she didn't die).

I didn't really understand why Gary was unaffected by the pulse thingy. He was standing amongst the crowd, so it wasn't his vicinity, and though he might not have been looking in the direction of the lights, there must've been others who weren't as well?

BRING BACK ALPHAS

Maybe it didn't do anything thing to Gary because of the nature of his ability? I DON'T KNOW. We better find out in season 3.

I think Gary was unaffected because of his autism. The same reason Nina can't push him.

All the Gary/Rosen scenes were REALLY GOOD ("of course you like working with me, I'm amazing") and I found the Gary/mother scene really moving too. The way it was obviously a struggle for him to say "I'm glad you didn't die" but maybe himself say it was perfect autism writing and acting.

I was disappointed to hear Ryan Cartwright's now going to be in Big Bang Theory. Does this mean ill have to watch Big Bang Theory? :(

There's nothing that will make me watch The Big Bang Theory, with its obnoxious laugh track.

Wait, he's joing that shit? Is he just a guest star or is he a NEW REGULAR CHARACTER because Alphas has been cancelled!? :(
