Ash vs Evil Dead

Yeah it's scary that this is exactly the Evil Dead TV show you always wanted.
 
The cop lady suddenly being hot for Ash was a bit weird. She sometimes seems like she belongs in a different show.
 
Who can resist Ash's charms, tho? He is El Jefe!
 
I'm still trying to figure out exactly which Evil Dead film this is meant to be a continuation of. It has to be Evil Dead 2, at least, but he got sucked into a time vortex at the end of that. So he had to get back somehow -- so Army of Darkness has to figure in. But he left his car in the 1300s at the end of that.

Then again, he was also in the stinger at the end of the 2013 Evil Dead remake, which had the car sitting out behind the cabin. So...

I spent way too much time trying to figure out if the militia leader dude was Riker or not.

Also, +1 for Lucy Lawless boobs.
 
Her body double sure had nice boobs, yes!
 
So, Amanda died. She was the worst character and the weakest actor, so I'm fine with that and her death scene was good. Evil Ash was good. The episode was good.

"Ah, my trick knee!" made me laugh for some reason.
 
I hope cute Australian girl survives somehow, but she probably won't...
 
I hope Pablo survives somehow, but I hope they get the defaced book off his face!
 
They certainly upped the horror in the finale...

Samara Weaving has a good scream.
 
Future FCOTD?

Did they already renew this show? At the end they said it would return later in 2016, so I guess they did. Maybe they did it before the season started.
 
They renewed it before the first episode was even on, yeah.
 
Good Gods, Ash is a mo-ran. Anybody could see that Lucy Lawless is not to be trusted. And the same for the characters she plays on TV.
 
Word has it that s02e01 is "available" right now, if you know what I mean. ;)
 
I'll watch it at normal pace so I don't have to wait longer before episode two!

Is it supposed to start on Sunday?
 
Yeah, Sunday night on Starz I think. But I think last year they were releasing them to On Demand a few days before the actual airdate as well.
 
It was pretty good, but felt a bit like there was too much plot and not enough fun.
 
Yeah they did seem to get through a lot of stuff for a half hour episode BUT I STILL FOUND IT ENJOYABLE.
