Mac Quadra 660AV, 25Mhz processor. With monitor, keyboard, SyQuest 44MB backup drive, 14.4 external modem and other peripherals, I think I paid about $3,000 total.

Two months after I bought it, Power Macs came out.

Well, this was 1994, and my share of rent was about $200 a month. It was easier to keep money in the bank back then.

Amazing what kind of computer power that money could buy today...my Mac was a glorified calculator with some audio-video processing enhancements.
