Avengers: Infinity War

Tony dying is so obvious that I think he'll have a fake death but then at the end he's in Pepper's phone or something.
 
It’s hard to judge when that’ll happen. They’ve been going a good long time now and while you do get rumblings of people with “franchise fatigue”, these are still the biggest movies around. It depends whether Marvel can keep them fresh and inventive or if they’ll continue on in the same vein. If they do that then I imagine a lot of people will lose interest when the original actors end their involvement.
 
Yeah, but they’re a lot more disposable as it’s mostly just Bond himself, with the other characters recasting explained away as new recruits taking on familiar codenames. With Marvel I can’t see how they could replace actors smoothly. You couldn’t have Tony Stark played by someone else, but Banner still played by Mark Ruffalo. It would feel weird. They’d have to replace the actors en mass. Which would also feel weird.
 
They don't need to replace actors as long as they can replace the characters. With Black Panther being one of their biggest movies yet and Captain Marvel next year, they won't need to keep Chris Evans and RDJ around forever.
 
So how to describe this without spoilers?

Some interesting combinations of characters.

Some surprising ommisons, someone we haven't seen in a long while.

A character acting in a way we have never seen before.

And a downbeat ending that makes the end of guardians 2 seen like the end of the 1st one.
 
Spoiler review
The film opens on pretty much the end of ragnarok, only Skor and Valkery are nowhere to be seen, most of the survivors appear dead on the floor, Thanos tells Loki to choose between the cube and his brother, and he chooses the cube, but only it it looks like Thor will die, then he feins handing it over, only to try and stab Thanos instead, then set the hulk on him.

For a few seconds the hulk has the upper hand, then Thanos beats the shit out of him, and keeps on punching him, almost to death, before Heimdal sends him back to earth, using the last of his strength to open up a biofrost, before Thanos kills him, then in front of Thor, strangles Loki to death. Then Thanos leaves the ship and it explodes, presumably killing all asgardian survivors, and the gladiators from sakar.

The hulk drops into Doctor Stranges house, and turns back to Banner, shortly before the giant donut ship heads to earth, Strange, Stark, Wong and Banner go outside and have to fight off some of Thanos henchmen, but Banner discovers he cant hulk out. They do what they can, but Strange is kidnapped and taken into the ship, Stark and Spiderman catch a ride too.
