agreed, but sadly, many men look only at the exterior. Propably the same kind of men who get a tattoo without considering how ridiculous it'll look when they are old and shrivelled.
Problem in both cases: not thinking of the future.

That's why if I ever get a tattoo, it'll be one of the images in the back of an old issue of MAD Magazine. That way when I'm old and wrinkled, I'll be able to pinch my skin together to show the secret image.

Well, I am attracted to the exterior.
But it will not keep my interest if the interior is abysmal.

Think of it like this:
What's the first thing that you can possibly notice about another person?

Granted, the net and the phone changes things, but it's the visual.
before you can hear a person, hear what they have to say, before you can smell them or touch them, you see them.
Sight is our first line of observation.

But like I said, it's the interior, mind and heart that will keep my attention.
