Best opening sequences/theme music

Murder She Wrote

Music by John Addison

It's just a classic. The music sounds exactly like how Murder She Wrotes feels. Reassuring, warm, fun. A place you want to be. Even though there's a murder in every episode. The visuals are great too (obviously they vary by season) as we get such fun clips as Jessica waving, Jessica waving on a bike, Jessica standing behind some bars holding a candle. It's amazing.

I know it was a different time, but the Lone Ranger looks like such an asshole galloping around shooting off guns while his companion Tonto is slowly trotting along looking like a sad sack.

Speaking of the lon ranger, I once read that they couldn't be bothered to hire any red Indian language experts for the show, so asked the actor who played Tonto to make something up, hence Kimo sabi.

Which he told everyone meant friend, but actually means shit head.

^ Agreed. Yoko Kanno should write the soundtrack to everything everywhere.

She can write sweeping electronic background music, crazy jazz riffs and other bends of genres, and then also write a simple pop tune that melts you:

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Music by Jeff Richmond

I don't know if auto-tuned viral news things are still a thing but they definitely were when UKS started (which wasn't very long ago!) It's just insanely catchy and actually gets across the feel of the show very well! (Females are strong as Hell.) I never use "skip intro" on Kimmy.
