So I go to the doctor today and he asks me, "Have you felt your baby move?" Uh, none of the books said I should be able to feel my baby move so I tell him, "No." And he looks at me with raised eyebrows and says, "No? Not at all?" So I answer, "Not that I've noticed." He returns with, "Have you felt a flutter? Or a weird gassy feeling?" So I say, "No flutters but gassy feelings, yes." I thought it was just gas. Meanwhile, his tone and expression are scaring the living shit out of me, I can feel my blood pressure spike. The doctor says, "That weird gassy feeling is the baby moving." Good to know. So down go the pants and we listen for baby's heartbeat and much to my relief, there it is, nice and strong. Visit over, I'll see him in 4 weeks.
Now, here's what I've learned recently. If you're pregnant, poop when you have to. It doesn't matter when or where you are, find a bathroom and do your business, you're pregnant, you get a pass, IMO at least. For if you wait you WILL get constipated which is miserable, lesson learned.
AND
As of last night when I rolled over on my tummy to sleep as I normally do I found that I can no longer roll over on my tummy to sleep because A) There was excruciating boob pain and B) Why, there's a little lump in my tummy that doesn't like to be squished into my mattress. That part was actually pretty cool.
Two weeks until we find out if the apple has a stem! W00t!
