BSG countdown thread

The show attracts some real loons. I was arguing with someone during the first season about the timeline of BSG. IMO, the show can take place anytime relative to us because it's fiction.. they can show up to earth and there may be no one there, just an empty planet.. Anyway this guy said it can't be like that because there is fossil evidence that humans are on earth, lol.. I was too shocked by his kookyness to even reply.
 
LOL, haven't heard that one. There's a guy on Scifi-meshes.com that's been seriously dissecting the episodes and this week he went through the Razor Cylon hybrid's ramblings line by line, but he seems to make sense, so he can be let off for posting REALLY long posts about it, while everyone else in the thread just says "I liked this episode it was cool. :)".

Oh yeah, I saw the promo. Looks interesting after all. I wonder how the Cylons find the Demetrius? And what will Leoben say to Kara this time? Probably the first time they've met since she escaped him on New Caprica.. presuming it's the same copy. Also, if the Cylons have found Demetrius, they can follow it to Earth!
 
Seen it now, good episode. Six beating the shit out of Tigh then shagging him is pretty fucked up, but perfectly in character. Baltar's speech was lame, yes, but religion is pretty lame. He told people what they wanted to hear. Does Roslin know that Tori (who is now a sexy empowered cylon!) is going to his meetings? Cally smelled of boiled cabbage? Harsh.

Haven't seen the promo, is it just the "good" cylons (Leoben, Six, the eights), who find Starback or all of them?
 
All we really see/hear is someone on Demetrius say "the Cylons are on the docking arm", get an outside shot of a heavy raider attached and shots of Leoben. Not much else iirc.

The promos can be misleading though.
 
I think it's only Leoben but i could be wrong. The promo I saw had him standing behind Kara helping her paint, or watching her paint, can't really remember now.

It should be interesting to see how Starbuck reacts to him. I wonder if anyone, even Anders, really knows what he did to her on new caprica.
 
Leoben should be played in this episode by that crazy Austrian bloke.

He should be played by the first Ray from Due South in an hilarious but confusing in joke.
 
I thought Ray was replaced by a completely different character?
 
He was replaced by a character played by Callum Keith Rennie (Leobon) also named Ray, who was supposed to live the first Ray's life for some complicated reasont I can't recall...the first Ray returned int he last episod.e
 
LOL, didn't realise it was Leoben. I always hated the second Ray.
 
I think the writing took a downturn in the third season, which didn't help him.

I'm not sure if I liked this episode. The mutiny was to be expected right from the first episode with the Demetrius so it wasn't that big a deal, and Leoben said pretty much what he always says. Meanwhile, Baltar did the same thing as last week, and there was virtually no movement on the inevitable revelation that Tori killed Tyrol's wife.

I hope this isn't the start of a slowing down.

I mean they really could've gotton to the Cylon basestar or something and DO SOMETHING but they didn't.
 
Oh.. I was afraid I was the only one disappointed with the show last night. I am kinda sick of Starbuck's situation and I want them to get on with it already. The show will be done and over with soon.. seems like we should be getting some answers by now.

I liked it when Tyrol choked Baltar, even though I love Baltar. I wonder if Nicky stopped crying because he is smart enough to understand or if he just likes the sound of the radio? He could have Cylon intelligence or something!
 
I thought they'd at least make it to the Basestar too, since they wouldn't have bothered bringing it up only for them to return to Galactica instead. Next week looks like it'll be an improvement at least.

Poor old Baltar... he's like BSG's Benry Gale. Gets beaten up every week!
 
Yeah, I like the hybrid stuff, so that should be interesting.

Where the hell is Hera? Shouldn't she and Nicky be plotting to take over the Galactica or something by now?
