Derek Carr and the Saints route Panthers 47-10 in Klint Kubiak's play-calling debut
Derek Carr passed for three touchdowns, Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams each ran for touchdowns and Blake Gruoe kicked four field goals — two from beyond 50 yards...Young was 13 of 30 passing for 161 yards and was intercepted twice — once each by safeties Will Harris and Jordan Howden. and was sacked three times.

Week 2: Sept 15 vs. Los Angeles Chargers L
Justin Herbert throws 3 TDs to Quentin Johnston; Chargers hammer Panthers 26-3 to remain unbeaten
Herbert finished 14 of 20 for 130 yards and Johnson had five catches for 51 yards. Johnson became the first NFL player since Jamal Lewis in 2003 with three runs of at least 43 yards the first two weeks of the season....Second-year quarterback Bryce Young had another miserable game, finishing 18 of 26 passing for 84 yards with one interception.

Andy Dalton passes for 319 yards 319 Tds to lead Panthers past Raiders 36-22 for first win
Dalton completed 26 of 37 passes and becoming the first NFL quarterback this season to post a 300-yard, three-TD performance. Dalton has thrown for 1,027 yards and 10 TDs in four career starts against the Raiders...gardner Minshew completed 18 of 28 passes for 214 yards with a touchdown and interception. The Las Vegas running game, which entered the game last in the league with a 49-yard average, totaled just 55 yards.

Week 4: Sept. 29 vs. Cincinnati L
Joe Burrow throws for 2 TDa, Bengals hold on to beat Panthers 34-24 for first victory of the season
Burrow threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns, Chase Brown ran for 80 yards and two scores...Andy Dalton threw for 220 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Chuba Hubbard had another strong game for Carolina, rushing for 104 yards and a touchdown

The Panthers honored defensive end Julius Peppers at halftime with his ring of excellence after he became the first player drafted by the franchise to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Week 5: Oct. 6 at Chicago L
Caleb Williams and DJ Moore lead the way in Bears' 36-10 rout of Panthers
Williams threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns in his best performance to date, Moore caught both scoring passes and had 105 yards receiving against his former team. Williams might have been playing for the Panthers if not for that trade in 2023. Carolina sent Moore and the No. 9 overall pick to Chicago for the top selection in the draft that year....Andy Dalton had a rough outing in his third start. Bryce Young replaced him in the closing minutes and was 4 of 7 for 58 yards and got sacked once.

Bijan Robinson scores 2 TDs. Falcon beat Panthers for 3rd straight victory vs. NFC South for
Bijan Robinson ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns, Tyler Allgeier added 105 yards rushing and a game-clinching score. Kirk Cousins completed 19 of 30 passes for 225 yards....Carolina's Andy dalton finished 26 of 38 for 221 yards with two touchdowns passes and two fourth-quarter interceptions for the Panthers, who have lost three straight.

Week 7: Oct. 20 at Washington L
Commanders lose Jayden Daniels to rib injury in a 40-7 romp over the Panthers
The Commanders did just fine without Daniels for a vast majority of the game. Behind two touchdown passes from Mariota and a 67-yard pick-6 of Andy Dalton by Dante Fowler....Dalton finished 11 of 16 for 93 yards, and Young entered in mop-up duty with 4:55 left, completing two passes for negative yardage.

Week 8: Oct. 27 at Denver L
Rookie Bo Nix has 3 TD passes in leading the Broncos to a 28-14 win over the Panthers
In the best game yet of his rookie season, the Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw for 284 yards. Courtland Sutton caught eight of Nix's passes for 100 yards...Young was 24 for 37 for 224 yards with two TDs and two interceptions. Young fell to 2-17 in his career and 0-3 this season.

Codrington's big return and SSeibert's 4 field goals help Jets defeat Panthers 15-12
Carolina running back Dillon Johnson scored on a short run on the final play for the game's only touchdown after the Panthers focused on the running game despite being down by nine....Punt returner Brandon Codrington from tiny North Carolina Central returned a kickoff 63 yards and a punt 31 yards to set up scores.

Week 3: Aug 24 @ Buffalo W
Bryce Young oversees opening-drive TD in brief preseason debut, and Panthers beat Bills 31-26
Bryce Young made Panthers coach Dave Canales’ decision easy in determining how long he was going to keep the Panthers' starting offense on the field in their preseason finale at Buffalo on Saturday.. Young finished 6 of 8 for 70 yards....The Bills rested all of their starters to avoid risking further injury to an already limping team. Darrynton Evans scored Buffalo’s first touchdown of the preseason with an 18-yard catch, Frank Gore Jr. had 101 yards rushing including a 5-yard touchdown run.

Legend of the Game: Chris Gamble​

Gamble was the team's first-round pick in 2004, where he joined a team fresh off a Super Bowl appearance and contributed to an already good defense. Although that rookie year got off to a rocky start (a 1-7 record to open the year after star receiver Steve Smith broke his leg in the opener), they quickly bounced back and went on another playoff run to the NFC Championship Game the following season. Gamble was part of Ohio State's 2002 national championship team, which went 14-0 (so he was unaccustomed to such a streak as he experienced in 2004) and was a versatile contributor there, starting on both offense and defense during his time with the Buckeyes and shining as a returner. He was even better here, and finished his career here as the team's all-time leader in interceptions with 27.

QB Bryce Young leads Panthers to victory, Week 10 status uncertain​

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young spoke with unusual confidence for a player on the verge of NFL history for futility when he entered the huddle with 3:26 remaining on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. But as solid as Young played in helping Carolina (2-7) win its first home game in 322 days, coach Dave Canales wasn't willing to commit to the top pick of the 2023 draft remaining his starter over Andy Dalton for Sunday's game against the New York Giants in Munich, Germany. The win kept Young, 3-17 for his career and 1-3 this season, from becoming the third quarterback since starts were first tracked in 1950 to lose 18 of his first 20 starts. He avoided joining San Francisco's Steve DeBerg (1978-79) and Carolina's Chris Weinke (2001-2007). Young's final stat line -- 16-of-26 for 171 yards with a touchdown and an interception -- wasn't overly impressive. Dalton was healthy enough to play Sunday, but Canales stuck with Young even though he has consistently said the 37-year-old Dalton gave the Panthers the best chance to win.

Sources: Cowboys trade 4th-rounder for Panthers WR Jonathan Mingo​

The Dallas Cowboys acquired wide receiver Jordan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick from the Carolina Panthers for a 2025 fourth-round pick, sources told ESPN on Tuesday. Mingo, a second-round pick in 2023 out of Mississippi, has 12 receptions for 121 yards this season. He has one catch in the past four games and has only two games in his career with more than four catches. In Carolina, Mingo was behind 2024 first-round pick Xavier Legette, undrafted rookie Jalen Coker and 2017 seventh-round pick David Moore, despite the hamstring injury sustained by Adam Thielen and the trade of Diontae Johnson. Getting a fourth-round pick for Mingo after sending the Baltimore Ravens a 2025 sixth-round pick and Johnson to Baltimore for a 2025 fifth-rounder last week had to feel like a win for Carolina general manager Dan Morgan, who is trying to rebuild the 2-7 Panthers who appear headed for a seventh straight losing season.

Carolina TopCats Cheerleaders are the official cheerleading squad of the NFL's Carolina Panthers. The TopCats perform during home games at Bank of America Stadium, the home stadium of the Panthers. In 2022, the TopCats became the first cheerleading team of the National Football League to hire an openly transgender cheerleader. The squad was founded in 1995. In 2021, the TopCats, which had historically been all-women, added two male cheerleaders, Tre’ Booker and Chris Crawford, to their roster.
