Community season 5

"Pierce Hawthorne, 14-year Greendale student, entrepreneur and expert heart attack faker..." RIP

This is classic Harmon, and I liked it a lot. I read in the comments of some article that after the paint ball episode, Harmon was quoted as saying that he needed to stick one "important" development in each wacky theme episode (he had Jeff & Britta hook up during paintball).

Some snarky yet clueless commenter said, "c'mon guys, if Star Burns was brought back, I'm sure Pierce is coming back too..." Ummmmmm no.

Alison Brie is such a joy to watch. She makes Joel a better actor in scenes they do together.

Chang's backwards costume had me on the floor.

It was good as a David Fincher/detective drama parody but I didn't really laugh much either (other than Annie trying to pick up her keys without bending over.) Did Duncan say "British" so much when he was in it before?

I don't think he did, and I also don't remember him perving on Britta before, but maybe he did.

I'd trick her into more than that...(daily sessions.)

How come that interview with Gillian lying on the interviewer was taken down? :(

Dunno - can't find another copy of it, but here's a different interview w/Gillian & Alison talking nerd boners:

DirecTV was fucked up in my area all night, so I"m watching Community online right now. It's really good so far.

Did we already know Chang's name is Benjamin Franklin Chang?

TROY AND ABED ARE DOOMSDAY PREPPERS!

That was top-notch Community indeed. I like how they handled Troy's exit. And everything was very true to Pierce's character, with no cheap shot inside jokes about Chevy. Very respectful and still hilarious.

I'm so fucking glad Dan Harmon is back.

That was a fun and inventive concept episode, but I found it slightly strange that Troy's last ever episode was so Britta centric. I mean I love Britta and she was great in the episode, but it seemed like we didn't see much of Troy until the last five minutes. Still, I definitely felt human emotions at the cloning and goodbye scenes.

Man this felt like the kind of concept episode that season 4 tried so hard to do so many times and got it so wrong, but then this was great!

I just love how the whole school totally gets into whatever it is they're doing. AND Britta got to use her psychology and she didn't Britta it, and maybe they're going to ditch the Britta is terrible story line now because that was terrible. AND ALSO I like that they mentioned Troy and Britta's relationship briefly at the end, but it makes me sad because if Dan Harmon had been in charge of last season then their relationship wouldn't have been so terrible.

This pic kicks ass.
