Community season 5

I liked the school dance story way more than the bulletin board story. Of course Annie was delightful, but for some reason I didn't find the concept that funny. And I'm sure they've done that kind of thing a few times before, where some that's unimportant in real life is treated like a political drama or gangster movie or whatever this was supposed to be.

Also, while it's nice having familiar faces, I don't see the point unless they're well used, like Mike from Breaking Bad is, but Robert Patrick and Nathan Fillion weren't. It was barely worth having them appear except as promotional tools in adverts. In the episode itself it was a case of blink and you'll miss them.

Anyway, I liked the bear stuff and Changs bit about no Asians being taken seriously. And I'd forgotten the GoT stuff til right now so I guess that didn't make a huge impact. Does Abed have a replacement Troy now? That study room table is starting to look very different!

I think the woman who wanted a parking space was someone famous only there for people to recognise her as well, but I didn't recognise her.

Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash & Danny Pudi are appearing on @midnight right now on Comedy Central.

I love this show, love CHris Hardwick. And with this guest panel, I'm positively tumescent. TUMESCENT I SAY.

Sure you can find it online somewhere soon.

People will probably complain because this episode wasn't very funny, but I liked it. I like it when Community is bonkers, but I also like it when it focuses on friendships. PLUS they're turning Britta back into a real person, instead of a constant fuck up! There were some nice Abed moments too. I'm glad they're not forgetting about his friendship with Troy, and at the same time giving Abed someone new to hang out with.

Chang was terrible as usual. I don't know why they have so much trouble with that character.

I LIKED IT. Yes having Britta doing Britta character stuff is always going to be good because Britta's the best character. I liked that they even gave Duncan some depth. I liked the Abed/Hicky thing too. I was expecting a better ending to the "ghost" story though.

"Everybody hide the hamburgers, if Abed sees a hamburger he travels through time!"

Lowest ratings ever. And now that Michael J. Fox and Sean Saves the World are cancelled, it's the lowest-rated NBC show of the night. (Parks & Rec did a little bit better).

Let's enjoy it while it lasts.

A Funny or Die movie, maybe.

I don't think this format works for 90 minutes with no break. People would be exhausted by the end.

It would give "His Girl Friday" a run for Fastest Talking Movie of All Time, though.

NBC needs to give up on the Thursday night comedy block. Try something else NBC :rwmad:

I wouldn't want a movie either. The only way it could work is if it was like one of the event episodes, like Modern Warfare, but even then it'd just end up being too long and drawn out.

Just seen this week's one... Maybe a movie could work if there were character bits like that in it.

There weren't as many laugh out loud moments as usual (I think my only one was when Prof Duncan banged on the steering wheel), but I did find Chang's stuff funny for a change and liked Annie and Shirley's quip at the end.

Donald Glover Says He's Returning to 'Community'

Apparently next week at SXSW, former Community star Donald Glover — who attempted to reduce his role as Troy on Community last year — will be participating in a "hackathon" as Childish Gambino. According to Uproxx, Glover tweeted a link to his "The Deep Web Tour" website with more information, and if fans sign up for updates they'll receive an email from Glover with an interesting update at the end: "p.s. I am returning to Community, because the internet." We've reached out to NBC reps to confirm the news and will update when we hear back, but Glover's message makes things sound pretty certain, unless he's joking.

DONG LOVER DONG LOVER!! I hope he does come back from his trip around the world.
