Community season 5

You'd think it'd be in the can. How long can it take? But I don't follow any Community tumblrs, so I wouldn't know if there have been the traditional 'last day of shooting' GIFs.

I LIKED IT, GOOD JEFF/SHIRLEY STORY WITH LOTS OF BRITTA AND EVERYONE ELSE WAS GOOD TOO.
 
It was very much a topical "theme" episode, which is usually a bad sign for a series, but it was handled deftly. Futurama tried to do this in its latter years which was stupid since the show takes place a thousand years from now when they wouldn't even have ever heard of iPhones and apps. But Community did it right. It was more steadily amusing than laugh out loud funny, but I was entertained.

But I'll bet AV Club just spent 3000 words to give it a "C" (I haven't checked yet)
 
Yeah but this was the first time this season that an episode ran the risk of being trashed == because it went in the direction it did, plus #PIERCEISSTILLDEAD and stupid shit like that. I hate people.

So, this was a really good episode. It had good jokes and silliness.
 
Yeah this really was a pretty much perfect episodes of Community. Both storylines were hilarious but had great character stuff. The Dean's rap was indeed brilliant (you can see Gillian nearly cracking up at the end.) All the characters were used well, including passing the all important "even Chang!" test with his line about kissing the books which made me laugh out loud. Brie Larson is adorable. Annie's brother was good. Vince Gilligan as the VHS guy was great. This is a great television show.

AND HOLY FUCK BRITTA SNIFFING THAT BOOK WAS HOT.
 
I forgot to say how much I liked last week's one. Brittany had something important and not dumb to do, and the way the sets were dressed was really incredible. And even Jeff's speech about "one 5 we've all been forgetting" was good and not one of his usual "it's the end of the episode so everyone better make up again!" ones.
 
I enjoyed it as well, and Dean Pelton rules.

The VCR game was painful, but in a sort of good way to watch, because it reminded me of the ones we would try to play when I was younger.

I am curious as to why Annie's brother is the way he is. I hear something in the background about mother, but couldn't pick up what was said before that.
 
So how come Annie's brother was in the Old Timey Photo Club photo...

Wow! lol

I hope Annie's brother is on the show more. We need more characters who ask permission before they poop.
