Current missing items

As I threw the missing bottle opener into the regular bottle opener drawer the other one jumped out at me and laughed. It was there the whole time. I was using the one on the can opener that isn't as fun or cool to use.

Found: Chromebook charging cord.
Location: The place that I put all cords, chargers, batteries, flashlights. It was there. It was there the whole time. I opened that drawer so many times and just looked in, kind of browsed around, didn't see it, closed it in disgust. It was there the whole time.
 
I have the same kind of search coming this weekend for an internal HD dock, so I can transfer files from my dead laptop to my new laptop... it's in one of two boxes... probably...

My T-shirt drawer is like that. Sometimes I'll be like "FINE. FUCK IT. YOU WANT TO PLAY GAMES? WE'LL PLAY GAMES." and dump it out on the bed and put shirts back into it one at a time. (Sometimes I still won't find the shirt because I forgot it is in the laundry or I threw it in a closet because I changed shirts and it was too dirty to put away but too clean to put in the laundry.)

NOOOOO! Not the "Dump everything out on the bed" move!

True story: I went to a store, one of my favorite stores. I decided I needed a black t-shirt. Just a plain black t-shirt, but dressy. Its a dressy black t-shirt. (if that is even a thing) I buy the black t-shirt along with some other items maybe? I can't remember.
But what i do remember is getting home and not being able to find this black t-shirt. I call the store and say, "Hey I can't find the shirt I bought, is it still at the store?" No they say. I feel they are lying. They are probably lying I think, because I don't have it, where is it. I want a new shirt-give me a new black t-shirt please-but I am already 160 miles from the store, so I ask that it be sent to a different store-or that I can pick one up at that store.
Okay, long story longer-I eventually get the t-shirt sent to me. I now have a black t-shirt. I can survive whatever fucking functions I think I need this stupid shirt for.

Somehow months later-I get into my vehicle and I move a bag-and when I say months, I mean like 6 months later, maybe this is when I lived in the mountains-I can't remember now. I move a bag in my vehicle and there is that fucking black t-shirt. Are you kidding me?

I now have 2 of these black t-shirts and I hate them both.
 
I've lost my train of thought. Popped on here to say something (and onto Facebook to say something else) and by the time I got done on Facebook I'd forgotten what I wanted to say here.

I have been wondering where my dash cam is.

And this week I will be looking for a particular document. I wonder if I will find it.
 
The best is when you can't find something solely because you need it. For example: I've got a little garage that was once wired for electricity. It has one of those old porcelain lightbulb sockets with the pullchain and some kind of steampunk single 2 prong electric outlet (there's only 1 socket to plug into). It's all wired up but at some point they clipped off the cable that supplied power to the building. Since I'm getting a concrete floor put into it ASAP and there's a building just a dozen feet from it that has power I read up on my electrical code, dug my trench and extended power to the garage. I may upgrade the wiring in the building but for now all I did was run the new supply line into the old box and splice it in. The Plan was to just plug a power strip into the outlet for more outlets than I could use but of course I'd need one of those 2 prong adapters to plug into the socket. And of course there were none in the drawer they were supposed to be in when I was looking. Thought maybe I'd put them somewhere else so I checked a few other likely spots before giving up. Well today I needed a hammer* wound up using a monkey wrench but that's another story. When I went to put it back, what do I find? The 2 prong plug adapter that was supposed to be in that drawer last week.

*This is an "Inception" level post on missing things. The reason I needed the hammer is a few nights ago I was emptying out my pockets for the evening and my lip balm rolled off the desk and *disappeared* after it hit the floor. There was only one place it could be--under the file cabinet part of the desk. After attempting to remove the bottom drawer I eventually gave up and ripped the bottom kick-plate off that part of the desk. Couldn't see it so I went and got a flashlight (from the same drawer) and when I came back I saw that the lip balm was actually laying *beside* the desk and hadn't rolled under it. So I banged the kickplate back on as well as I could with a Leatherman tool I had laying nearby. Well just now I realized the brads were protruding a bit so I went to get the hammer to pound them back in. The hammer wasn't in the drawer so it was probably in the basement and rather than go downstairs to get it I just grabbed a monkeywrench.

There was an unrelated thing that was missing but I didn't type a note in when it popped in my head and by the time I finished the hammer saga I'd forgotten it. Anyway, I should be getting to work on stuff.
 
So...from all those words I got that I think you are not only missing your hammer and an electrical thingy but something else-so now you are missing the words too! OH MY!
