Very interesting show. Derren is so fucking awesome it's unreal. Both of his explanations fall heavily under the cloak of misdirection methinks but it doesn't really matter. He has made the whole thing incredibly entertaining and everyone is talking about it so I call this is another major success for Derren.
Next weeks show looks brilliant as well. Can't wait.
Split screen. The logo at the end (only down one side of the screen) confirmed it (or maybe it was just a jokey reference to how wrong the split screen theories were.)
But everyone watching should have been expecting to be mind fucked and not get the real answer, so they've got no right to whine in DigitalSpy as they're all doing right now.
I think this was all part of a larger canvas. You know how he often talks about priming and that you can't be hypnotised unless you believe you can be. I think, if anyone gets stuck to their seats next week, it'll be the ones who believed what they saw tonight. Or maybe just those people in his "team".
There's also the reversed Man U website and the reversed filming in the adverts, which are yet to be fully understood. You're right, however it's all done, it's very entertaining.
Click this link and READ the whole thing, it's actually really interesting and I've read the same report from other people (it's about something that was filmed for Friday's show and left off the broadcast.)
Well, since I'm too set in my ways to believe he predicted the lottery OR fixed it, I'd just have to guess the balls those kids were holding were blank and had tracking markers on them so the numbers could be superimposed later (or they had bluetooth wifi digital printers with dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark bees come out and use lasers to etch the numbers on).
One other interesting thing I heard but isn't confirmed is that during the segment with the 24 volunteers, about half way through the process Derren's standing in front them with the winning numbers on the board behind him. That could of course be more camera trickery, though.
Of course he'd get out. The kids with the lotto balls, the dogs with bees in their mouths, his 24 gormless helpers and the ghost of James Doohan would break him out of jail before the setting of the sun.
