Dick Van Dyke just did a 'rap' on Diagnosis Murder

Meh...only to people who have no clue.

One could say the same about how rap sucks.

No need...one just has to look at the declining propensity of rap to be any sort of music genre that's in any way generally popular.

It's racism and violence set to a beat...people are just not wanting to listen like they used to.

I used to watch the black and white minstrel show and want to go out and kill things. Some say they were the original rappers.

Walk around downtown here and just about every street has people selling rap CDs from cardboard boxes...cheap.

Nobody wants 'em.

Sooner or later you're going to have to realize that Indianapolis is not the cultural center of the country, and surely not the watermark for the hip-hop community's success.

And for that I thank the gods daily.

The rappers must have travelled back in time to the eighties and Techman is living in the original timeline.

Jam Master Jay is dead. :(

On the bright side, so is Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Rap's awesome.

Techman sounds like any old people. I don't even mean that as an insult, I just think it's generally true that old people think that all rap is is a bunch of guys ranting about sex, drugs, guns and sluts. Some of it is, but some is actually very well written, insightful social commentary.

I remember Too Short and Eazy-E from the 80's .. well the end of the 80's anyway.

YOU MAY DISS MA RHYMES
BUT YOU BEHIND THE TIMES!

*Techman revs up Glenn Miller CD*

Fuck rap...

the original fire has died and gone but the fire inside moves on

Rap's awesome because it is a creation of brilliant, insightful, artists, who - not given anything else in their lives, have carved out success for themselves in spite of old, nobby-kneed, Glenn Miller listenin', String of Pearls adorin', Chattanooga Choo Choo lovin', Moonlight Serenade strokin', In the Mood suckin' dudes like Techman.

Dr. Octagon, anyone?

Speaking of Glenn Miller - would you consider Glenn Miller actual jazz? It isn't. Glenn wrote out each "improvised" solo and the band played each lick the same exact way every time. That's not jazz, that's what they give to high school jazz bands so kids can feel good about playing a "solo".

OMG I WAS IN JAZZ BAND, OK? MR ISHCABITTLE!

You don't think I was? I know all that Glenn Miller shit by heart, I threw down on some trombone back in the day.

It's still not, by the strict definition, jazz. You need to improvise to make it jazz.

Probably not a sign that it's jazz if it's included in the weekly halftime show either.. OMG THAT DIDN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE.

I'm just kidding anyway Ish, I wasn't in jazz band, I was in marching band.
