I watched the last three episodes last night, and while they were damn good, they weren't quite as good as Series 3 finales. Still, it was pretty sweet seeing all of The Doctor's "family" back together, helping him. I actually laughed when I saw Mickey and Rose's mum. The fact that they tied "Bad Wolf" into the story was pretty cool, also.
I liked the half-human Doctor, it was an interesting way to get rid of the Daleks, something The Doctor seems unwilling to do. It also gave a bit of closure to the Doctor/Rose storyline; I was happy to see Rose get a human version of The Doctor to grow old with.
Davros' point about The Doctor was actually a great one. He abhors guns, never uses weapons, and always tries to avoid violence. But he does have a penchant for using his human friends to do his dirty work.
I would be remiss if I didn't give special mention to Bernard Cribbins, who plays "grandad" Wilfred Mott. He's a tremendous actor, and was stellar in every episode in which he appeared.
All in all, a mixed season. Some excellent episodes, mixed with some sub-standard ones. I saw the preview for the 2008 Xmas special (actually d/l it now), and I fear that they've run out of ideas. I mean, the Cybermen, again.
So, when does the next special air in the U.K.??
