Does anyone still find "cunt" offensive?

I just shouted it at some little girls to gauge the public reaction.

I have to go to the police station now, back soon.

Although free speech doesn't meant you should just go around shouting "cunt" for no reason, just that you CAN do that if the need arises, I think. Swear words use their impact if they're over-used and then we have to invent new ones like "cuntnose" which never take off.

Do you want to know a secret? I still hate being called a bitch. I am not one of those girls that sits around with thier girlfriends calling each other "bitch and ho".
I am curiuos what the hetero male equivilant is to this? Is there one?

Oh my friends and I would never speak of eachother like that. Well, unless one of us was truly acting like a bitch but even then I wouldn't tell my friend to her face that she's acting like a bitch.

B=Beautiful
I=Intelligent
T=Talented
C=Charismatic
H=Human

It's no mystery, but still very weird to me how the same epithets carry different levels of animosity in different cultures. Calling someone "dog" here in the US is often a compliment. Calling someone a dog in the Muslim world might get you stabbed.

As for the UK: It blows my mind that calling someone a "bastard" over there is roughly the equivalent as calling someone a "cocksucker" over here. And I've never understood out why "bloody" is considered so awful, across the pond.

Bastard and bloody aren't much of a big deal here I don't think. I've heard both used on daytime tv. Cunt is the only word I hear bleeped on a regular basis, though sometimes they don't bother. I'm not sure why one show has it bleeped while another doesn't. I once put the word down in a scrabble game with parents. I don't find it very offensive.

Isn't calling a Muslim a dog offensive because dogs are the spawn of Satan or something?

Whereas to us, calling a dog as muslim is offesnive because muslim are the spawn of Satan!
