Female posters who use hot women as their avs

Yes, but I am not talking about avatar gender issues. Neither you or BDM have a man in a prevocative pose as your av...

Touche ;) - You wern't the reason I made this thread, I hadn't seen your avatar either.

.

Ahh. Very well then, carry on.

Actually, I am glad you've started this thread. I was asked about my av's on a different forum, but I don't understand the issue? He said also, like you, that women use av's 'wishing' it were them but he didn't discuss it any further.

I change mine usually in reflection of my mood more then anything. I have also used eagles, landscapes, caves, cliffs and cartoons. I always figured av's were just an expressioin of yourself, not used as a 'come hither', dating game kinda thing. I realy never thought about it that way.

I'll be in my bunk.

Bingo we have a winner!

I do it so everyone will have something perv worthy to look at.

I actually began doing it for one or two members in particular, but they are gone now, and I still keep doing it. I know, you know it is not me, it's not intended to represent me, any more than MJ is representing Menty. I do it to give a little pleasure to viewers. I like to please people.

Hmm, I do have trouble believing that, really. So, you're saying its ALL for others benefit?

That you don't use your avatar as a representation of yourself whatsoever? - I doubt it, really I do ;)

I mean thats very considerate of you, using your little avatar space as a benefit to male posters with NO thought to yourself or your own representation.... Nah..

I agree with T. These little images are just expressions, representational images of who we are, or what we like, or what WE'RE like, and even, maybe, a little wish fulfillment. Who cares? (Besides, the better-looking ones are easy on the eyes, and what's so wrong with that?) Nothing on the internet is real anyway.

Me? I'm just some greasy, matted-hair fat guy living in a one-room trailer with tires on my roof, piles of dirty and broken dishes in the sink ('cuz my fat-ass whore slut wife ran off with my cousin, Rusty) and an engine hanging in a tree on the edge of my property who posts here when I'm not on the road, driving the big rigs, and writing reality porn letters to Penthouse Forum.

But at least if I play myself off to be a smiling pumpking on the internet people will look beyong the beer-gut and the yellowed toenails and possibly see me for who I really am or who I want them to see.

It's not about getting dates. That's what lot lizards, mudflaps and pull-outs are for.

You are bemoaning the accepted double standards that society places on perceptions of homosexuality. In a male-dominated society, men are not threatened by the idea of women together or women appreaciating women sensually, in fact they find it titillating because they are the dominants, women the submissives, and therefore subject to their entertainment.

However, men being men, they are not comfortable with the part of the brain that would allow them to comfortably appreciate themselves sexually, and therefore are embarrassed/disgusted at the thought of two men appreciating each other's sexuality or displaying their sexuality as entertainment for women (even though many women can appreciate it just the same as men appreciate them). So, in a male-dominated society, the taboo is placed where it is to keep the dominating (but silly) men comfortable, even though they could learn something from the women on this and people in general would be much more evolved and less uptight as a species if they did.

So, put that hot pic of the athlete in your av, and advance the species!! Oh, and if he flashes some butt in another shot, add that to your sig, proudly!!!

You think it worked?

LOL, you really don't know me very well do you? That's OK, I sort of prefer it that way.

You don't enjoy sexual attention on this board then? - Hmmm.. Yeah, well I am saying I don't believe that. I don't care at all, this is the internet, I was making a thought out discussion on my own perceptions.

You're flaunting your sexuality with an avatar like that. I am not even making a big deal out of it, I am simply commenting on what happens to be a common phenomena.

I don't suppose you would post YOUR pic would you? -- I just don't get it, really I must be so behind the times.. It is promoting what is basically a fallacy, an avatar does give a certain "feel" to that persons posts. The reaction and "persona" it potrays for you must be an incentive no matter how much you decry that.

I used your avatar as an example anyway, I wasn't only commenting on your avatar. I prefer realism. Great thing about the internet is that its anonymous, it allows one, if they wish, to play somebody outside themselves. I personally don't need or want that so I don't mind posting my pictures everywhere and letting everyone know WHO I am. Thats just my personality though.

Have you ever posted your pic? A lot of people haven't, I guess some people are not comfortable with giving up a certain level of anonimity and mystery. Meh, we have been here long enough I like to know what the PERSON looks like.

No, I've never posted a picture of my face. I've said before, I have both personal and professional reasons for that.

As to flaunting my sexuality, Menty come on, I write erotica. I'm not flaunting it, I'm celebrating it. I've never been shy about my sexuality, and I've never hesitated to flirt when I felt like it. What has that to do with your question to me about the avatars?

Do I like the attention, what are you nuts? Of course I do. You make it sound like I've been secretative about all this, when in fact I have been just about as open sexually as any female member on this board. Truth is, I don't get that much sexual attention from board members, but that's never stopped me from expressing myself sexually when I wanted to.

I told you the truth, I picked the avatars originally, solely to please someone I wanted to please. I continue to do it because it pleases most people. You can accept that or not, but trust me, if you had paid attention to any of my erotica, writing, flirting, you'd know that the underlying theme is pleasing others. The fact that you can't see that or accept it, is your limited view of women like me.

Broaden your horizons! Do some research on submissive women. It will help you to understand, if that is really your goal here. If it's just to troll me then, this is the last I'll have to say on this.

Accept it or not, it's your choice. Nothing you believe or don't believe will stop me from putting up sexy avatars or 'flaunting' my sexuality when I choose to. ;)

Yes.

I make assumptions about someone's character and identity based soley, or in part, on their choice of avatar.

It's the only real way to be sure.

For your sake tell me you weren't talking to me, Chatty is it?
I just don't see the big deal in women posting sexy pics as avs and find the question stupid.

What are you going to do argue with me over the internet about it or try to insult me because I gave an opinion?
