Game Of Thrones 2.1 'The North Remembers'

It's impossible for me to remember some of the stuff from the books. The little details are GONE 4evar.

I don't remember Jaime being THAT snarky while he was held captive, but maybe they're just embellishing for the drama.

That scene with Robb and Jaime wasn't in the book. In fact...

Jaime is only in ONE chapter in Clash Of Kings. One.

That scene kinda confused me. I saw the old guy put something in the wine, and I'm sure he thought HE wouldn't die and that she would. OR SOMETHING?

It looked like he was willing to kill himself to kill her. IN THE BOOK he only meant for her to die, he had two glasses (only hers was poisoned) but he spilled his (because of Patchface I think) and had to drink from the same glass as her to make sure she drank it.

Wikis, HBO Viewers Guide, etc (or just check the book!)

Oh and APPARENTLY episode 2 has already been shown on HBO Go in Europe and people are downloading it BUT I DON'T WANT TO because it'll be slightly shoddy quality and I want to watch it on TV like a proper tv show, but it's annoying because now everyone will watch it a week early (if this happens all season) and the ratings could suffer and we might not get a season three and WHAT ARE YOU THINKING HBO?

I'll wait. I don't want to watch it till everyone else is. That's the whole point of illegal borrowing!

I agree about the stars and stripes armour. Surely someone looked at that and realised what it looked like? Really takes you out of a medieval fantasy show...

I forgot to mention the updated intro. Sometimes it's difficult to tell, but both the visuals and the music were different, weren't they?

I WATCHED PART OF THIS WHILE IT WAS FIRST AIRING. I'M GETTING THERE. Also I've already downloaded the 2nd episode but now I don't want to watch it yet lol.

Ratings: 'Game of Thrones' Season Premiere Slays Series Premiere

"Game of Thrones" season two got off to a bloody good start in more ways than one.

Sunday night's second-season premiere of HBO's swords-and-dragons epic fantasy series easily trounced the impressive viewership of the show's series premiere last year, and handily bested last season's average and finale viewership.

Over three airings Sunday night, "Game of Thrones" amassed 6.3 million total viewers, with the 9 p.m. premiere airing alone drawing 3.9 million viewers.

Sunday's premiere airing boasted a 74 percent improvement over the series premiere, and a 53 percent jump over the first season average. Sunday's "Thrones" also jumped 27 percent over last season's finale, which grabbed 3 million viewers with its initial airing.

HBO now say no further episodes will be shown early anywhere in the world so the whole leaked episode thing shouldn't happen again (which is good FOR THE RATINGS I THINK.)

I WATCHED PART OF THIS WHILE IT WAS FIRST AIRING. I'M GETTING THERE. Also I've already downloaded the 2nd episode but now I don't want to watch it yet lol.

Wait, did you watch the first season!? Because if you haven't it won't make much sense...

It had a million more total viewers than Mad Men, and double the 18-49 rating as well YOU CUNTS.

And Mad Men's on basic cable whereas GOT is on HBO so less people would have access to GOT too, right? Which makes it more impressive!

But The Walking Dead gets about twice the viewers of both of them put together even though it's nowhere near as good. SO WHAT DO RATINGS MEAN REALLY.

Just watch this, you'll be all caught up!

I watched the first couple of eps from season 1, and I have the season saved somewhere, and it's not like there are 26 episodes to a season so I could get caught up fairly quickly.

I'm just deciding how much I want to stick with it. I may end up being a binger of seasons after the fact.

I forgot to mention the updated intro. Sometimes it's difficult to tell, but both the visuals and the music were different, weren't they?

Yeah, the music sounded a bit different, like they'd had to stretch it out in a few places to fit the longer titles. It threw me off.

They added Dragonstone (where Stannis is) to the credits. It's weird that they left in Vaes Dothrak and The Wall considering Dany and Jon are both travelling away from those places. But I guess the snowy north and a barren desert can't really be animated for the titles.
