Game Of Thrones season two CASTING NEWS

GoT at Comic Con Game of Thrones @ Comic-Con: Some Season 2 Scoop, and Zero Beheadings - TVLine

It's too soon to start a season 3 thread but I thought this INTERESTING

If the show is lucky enough to get to a third season, it will not correspond with the books at that point, revealed Benoiff. It’s “too big to do in one season,” he explained. Whatever happens, the Battle of Blackwater will be in the show even if they have to collect fan donations to fund the epic scene. “We’re going to pass my hat around to get some extra contributions,” joked Martin.

I don't know how much season 2 news is in this, because I haven't watched it yet (it's like 40 minutes long), but I'M GOING TO WATCH IT LATER.

STILL NO MORE CASTING NEWS, FUCK

But here's a cool video about the special effects (ignore the spoiler warning, it's just the first season.)

Some impressive effects for a tv budget, but what's most impressive is how commonplace they are throughout episodes. Pretty much any exterior shot has some set extension, much like Caprica did.

There was some really weak casting news about some guy playing a Lannister who isn't even in the books so I didn't bother reporting it.
