Threads doesn't let you sort by people you're following or view things in chronological order so it sounds pretty useless.
We need more viable alternatives that aren't run by megalomaniacal billionaires. Although they would probably turn into one if their sites got too popular...

My personal favorite so far is Spoutible, since it seems to function most closely to Twitter and isn't rocket science to figure out like Mastodon.
But Spoutible isn't taking off like other alternatives, and the rollout and debugging has been slow.
