Approx 4-5 inches outside now, that has fallen in the last 2 hours. Bloody stuff! It's rare down here right on the coast, where traditionally it's too warm or salty for snow to lay.
Rae's always sending me pix of her bloody daffodils when we're up to our necks in the white dross
SO I WANT PAYBACK OR THE WORM HAS TURNED OR SUMMAT LIKE THAT.
I definitely DO NOT miss the weather back in Philadelphia. Right now it's bright and sunny and 75 degrees here in Beverly Hills. If I want to see snow, I'll just drive 30 minutes to the mountains.
ok, teasing aside - Does anyone there still buy evergreens from local lots (we get ours from the Kiwanis guys cuz it's their big fund-raiser for the year) or do you have an artificial one? or do you decorate Palm Trees? (I DONT KNOW)
It's well over 6 inches deep now, and it's a steady fall of the biggest snowflakes I've seen in my life. May be snowed in tomorrow for work. We got the talk today - no problems taking it as annual leave for me, as I converted a week's Xmas leave to sick when I went back Monday. Tonsilitis and a Chest Infection meant the first day I woke up healthy was the Sunday before I went back!
I often have green Christmases down here in Floridaland. There are tree farms around where you can go buy a real Christmas tree, there's one right down the road. Apparently evergreens like the warm weather too!
I like snow, but I'm glad I don't live where it snows.
We've been warned to expect over 40cm overnight. The country is practically grinding to a standstill (our infrastructure is laughably naff). Looks like the heaviest snowfall in our region for over 30 years.
