How excited is headvoid?

Jon chose to go to The Wall.

HEADVOID, good review, but you're really going to have to get over the sex thing because...there's a lot more to come.

I remember I found the first episode slightly flat because of the issues you mentioned with them having to introduce all the characters...it's worth noting that the pilit was shot a year before the rest of the first season, but they then recast some of the main characters (Cat, Dany) and reshot all their scenes, so half the stuff in the first episode was shot a year before the other half.

Jaime and Cersei certainly get a lot better, in my opinion. ANOTHER THING TO REMEMBER is that Lena Headey was pregnant when that scene was shot so they used a double for the "doggie scene".

They sometimes went overboard with the tits and ass. They left out some book characters so they'd have room for naked whores. Overall they did a great job sticking to the book, but if there's the slightest opportunity for a bitch to get her tits out, they took it.

Well TBH I would ACTUALLY mind. SpartaCOCK is meant to be campy, gory, and sexy, and I appreciate it for those very things. Sparty kind of reminds me of how people might embellish a story being told around a campfire, like the movie 300. A story about the story, not necessarily historically accurate.

There's Theon Greyjoy cock! NOT SAYING I FREEZE FRAMED EVERY APPEARANCE OR ANYTHING...

Anyway, enough cock spoilers...

Calisi's stud had a HUGE cock as I recall. It hurt her at first, and then she grew to like it. Then the witch fucked him to death.

Second episode - The Kingsroad

Overall - Big improvement as the key characters are allowed to breathe and the story builds

Starks
Bran is proving a surprise as a fantastic child actor. He is understated and powerful. Catelyn is just excellent, I like her more on screen than in the books which is saying something. The scene with Bran's potential assassin is excellent and the action is very visceral and real - no hollywood chairs smashed over heads etc. The blood pumping out of the guys throat was necessary and shocking.

It is obvious why Jon Snow is liked so much, excellent acting and script but he is also the most sympathetic character - easy to identify with. Ned Stark being a slave to his loyalty is also being handled well. Their parting "tell you about your Mum later" scene is simple and good. The undercurrent of "I'm obviously going to die horribly and never going to see you again" is not to blatant, but still there - hard to get that right without ominous music / drum rolls etc.

Targaryen
Lesbo sex and the madness of the brother is going well. Especially as I am now watching these alone and not with my wife or 11 year old son. A wise decision I think.

DINKLAGE!
Slapping Joffrey, bitching with Jon Snow and generally being fuckin excellent.

This is also the episode with Arya, the butchers boy and the killing of the first Direwolf . Sansa is actually getting some decent screen time now and I am warming to her.

KINGS LANDING HERE WE COME

Episode 3 - Lord Snow

Kings Landing
Good scenes and a fantastic set / locations. As characters like Varys and Littlefinger are introduced I am not disappointed. Jamie still annoys me as he reminds me of Prince Charming from Shrek. Sorry! It must be hard for people to keep up with the characters, an example being that Renly had literally 10 seconds of screentime but he is going to be a major character in the future.

The Wall
Jon Snow fighting Sam is great, and I loved the Direwolf jumping on the trouble maker who wasn't going to agree to the pact. Also Jon's character is developing and his interaction with Sam is going to be good.

DINKLAGE!
Pissing off the wall! Good Jon dialogue

Liking it a lot now as it develops.

Episode 4 - Cripples, bastards and broken things

Just a great episode - truly exciting and thrilling - plus DINKLAGE in full flow now.

Kings Landing
The intrigue starts around The Kings drunkeness, the bastard son and the Lannister scheming. Enjoyable scenes when the Mountain shoves a spike into the throat of Lord Aryn's squire at the tournament. Cersei is less annoying now and I am starting to see why she is being played the way she is.

The Wall
Just brilliant scenes between Jon and Sam - nicely played, again understated. Even the brusque Ser Allister is given some real depth here - a lenghty scene around a scrubbing table which was all dialogue but really memorable.

Across the Narrow Sea
Really liking Ser Jorah, who came across as a little weak in the books but Iain Glen is just playing him brilliantly. One of my new favourites. I'm also liking the violence rising in Viserys as he becomes frustrated. Good bath sex / dialogue seen followed by Dany hitting him during a confrontation. Are we building to a violent end with Viserys? Mmmm, I wonder...

DINKLAGE!
Ignoring his excellent confrontation with Robb at Winterfell, but moving onto the scene at the Inn with Catelyn. What a dude! I just loved the way he walked into the Inn with real style. You cannot fault a moment he has on screen.

Looking forward to the next episode - I am suspecting a lot of Kings Landing action!
