How excited is headvoid?

Somewhere in the middle of book 4 or 5, I walked away from the series. I just got tired of hopping from one scene/character to the next. :frown:

having just done a web search, it has been spotted before.

But then again, this is the internet, so EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SPOTTED BEFORE

It kind of fits since Jaime is supposed to look like the perfect handsome knight (I'm sure Sansa had a few paragraphs swooning at him) but he's corrupted on the inside.

I actually felt his thoughts in the book were somewhat more noble than what we see in the show.....not that that's saying much....

Well at this point in the books we don't know his thoughts, but yeah, there is a scene that really annoyed me in season two but we'll get to that...

Episode 5 - The Wolf and the Lion

Overall - Again, things continually improving now as they concentrate on certain characters and plotlines. Arya beginning to show what a talented young actor she is, and even Jamie is not annoying anymore.

Just so you remember the episode:
1. First appearance of Greyjoy COCK
2. DINKLAGE saves Cateyln on the road and meets Bronn for the first time
3. Renly does GAY SEX CUM FACE when the Knight of the Flowers gives him a blow job.
4. The King gets pissed a lot and Cersei and him have a tender moment
5. The Mountain gets spanked by his brother
6. No Jon Snow, and no Danys (allows other characters to breathe)

Starks
Good episode for the Starks, Bran is a dude and Greyjoy is showing what a cock he is (see what I did there?) Catelyn / DINKLAGE scenes very good.

Kings Landing
Lots of Kings Landing action. Littlefinger is a little 2 dimensional, but Varys is shaping up nicely. The Renly scenes make me think he might be gay, did anyone else get that?

Jamie
The fight scene with Ned Stark was excellent and well handled. It really showed the weight, and almost cumbersome nature of fighting with large swords. Very well done.

DINKLAGE!
Some very good early scenes with Bronn, and he SMASHED THAT FUCKERS FACE WITH HIS SHIELD.

GOLDEN CROWN HERE WE COME

If I didn't know the storyline, "Golden Crown" as a title would make me think there was some urine sex coming up in the next episode.

Episode 6 - The Golden Crown

Overall - This entire episode could have been all the DINKLAGE AND BRONN show as far as I am concerned. The Eyrie is a brilliant set, however I am still loving Iain Glen as Mormont. That man could play Jimmy Savile and I would like him.

Just so you remember the episode:
1. Bronn is chosen as the DINKLAGE champion and wins
2. Joffrey gets creepy with Sansa
3. Eddard starts the war when the MOUNTAIN is discovered to be raping and a looting.
4. BLONDE hair on a kings son? The BASTARDS are out...

Starks
Another good episode for the starks, with even Sansa showing some depth.

Kings Landing
Bean is doing well and his limp was convincing. I missed GAY RENLY (saw him a bit on the hunting trip) and Littlefinger a little this episode, which shows that Aidan Gillen is doing a good job. I take back my earlier comments.

Golden Crown scene
All in all, I thought the drawing of the sword and the drunken build up were great. I would suggest that the Gold used was either made of the stuff you get sweets in, or very fast melting. They would have had to hold him for about 3 hours before it melted as far as I can work out. Picky audience! Anyway the DONK as he landed on the ground was great.

DINKLAGE!
Bronn fight scene? I CAME TWICE AND HAD TO PAUSE THE SHOW IT WAS THAT GOOD.

YOU WIN OR YOU DIE - Charlie Sheen to guest star?

I fucking love the part with Tyrion swaggering out of the Eyrie, tossing the bag of gold to the jailer and saying "a Lannister always pays his debts." Loved it in the book too.

I really liked Harry Lloyd as Viserys and would be open to him appearing in future flashbacks/dream sequences (or even playing Rhaegar in flashback.)

I didn't think he fit in very well, personally. In contrast to the ridiculously cruel but believable Joffrey, I found Viserys really camp and cartoonish in his evilness. I know he's supposed to have had his reasons, but he didn't have the kind of depth to him that lets you understand why characters act the way they do. He seemed like an unlikable arsehole purely because there needed to be a hate figure, rather than truly being shaped by his circumstances like, say, initially unsympathetic Cersei, or even Joffrey.

Well he has a huge inferiority complex from having to beg all his life when by rights he should be a prince and he has the whole Targaryen madness thing going on. I thought he worked best in the moments where Dany saw how truly pathetic he really was after fearing him her whole life and realised he had no real power.

Episode 7 - You Win or You Die

Kings Landing
Ned hobbles about a bit, accuses Cersei with the subtlety of a pantomime dame. Then asks Littlefinger to sort out the castle guard. Several pike thrusts later all his mates are dead. They really do like a pike thrust into the chest in this series! I think I have seen about 5.

Winterfell

Osha is coming out as a character, Greyjoy attempts to put his knob in her. I like the way his evil nature is starting to come out, dominated by his penis.

Jon Snow
Ser Allister gets his way with Jon being told he is going to have to be a serving wench. Some good humour from Samwell. One of Jon mates tells a story about how his lord wanted to see his cock. There seems to be a "cock out" theme developing here.

Danys
Mormont saves her from the poison wine. Really good scene with the wine poisoner, frankly Iain Glen could play Hodor and do a great scene. I think I have a gay thing for him. Maybe I should get my cock out while watching, it seems to be the thing to do.

There should be a variation on the drinking game whenever someones cock is mentioned you have to get your cock out. Maybe not the best social activity, but it would be in the spirit of things.

Next up: "The Pointy End" (I'll leave the cock jokes to you)

Isn't that the episode with Drogo's amazing speech and Littlefinger telling a hooker to "play with her ass a bit"?

Episode 8 - The Pointy End

Kings Landing
I loved the scenes where the Lannisters made their move. Arya is absolutely brilliant and just incredible for such a young actor. I even enjoyed Sansa and her pleading face, which is saying something. Despite them being lots of running through castle corridors (necessary) the director handled it well

Winterfell

I did not really enjoy Robb and his war council if I am honest, but I'm being picky

Jon Snow
As ever, this set is proving the place to be as well. The rise of the Wight Walkers and Jon tackling them was excellent. His role is growing in stature, and his acting is matching it. LOVING THE WALL

Danys
The sacking of the village is a little lame, but again (like Jon) she is growing into her role as her character develops. I am liking her more and more considering I found her a little insipid in the books and also in the early episodes.

Next up: "Baelor" Think there might be someone losing their head!
