I Answer All Questions About LOST

Another kick ass episode.

I knew Juliet was up to no good. I'm sure she's just doing that because Ben promised her she could get off the island though.

You know, I don't think so. I think she saw her way off go up with that sub, and her motivations are completely different now. What they are, I don't know, but that look on her face... when she was sitting at the table with Ben... spoke volumes.

Do you think she really believes there's no other way off the island? I wouldn't if I were her.. she knows she can't trust Ben, or she should anyway.

What about them branding her? Was that just to get Jack's sympathy? If she went along with that as part of a plan, then she really is an Other.

This season, since the break, has been hitting on all cylinders. That was a fantastic episode. Glad I avoided the spoilers. :)

I still have to wonder how they know everything about the 815 survivors, and who Jacob is. Those revelations should be interesting.

She may. She knew of only one way on, and she didn't even see that.

Really? Can you cite one example of Ben ever breaking his word? He didn't want to let her go, and said as much to Locke, but he did let her go.

Of course, if there's another way off... he doesn't have to tell her. ;)

Can't be... that would be too weird. They would have to know Jack would wheel and deal for her life, and then she'd really have to take a brand because Jack could spot a fake. I'm Kappa Alpha Order alumni and took a brand on my ass back in college... brands fucking hurt and are dangerous in the wrong environmental conditions. No way she volunteered for that.

Didn't he break his word by keeping her there past 6 months? I know he bribed her into staying by promising to cure her sister of cancer but that was low. She knows he's conniving and that he plays mind games. That's why she shouldn't trust him.

If someone branded me as punishment I'd never trust them again either... but I still think that was part of some elaborate plan. If you've never been branded then you probably wouldn't actually know how much pain there'd be, and they have drugs on the island.

Plus.. how long have they been planning to send Juliet to the Losties camp? They put that implant in Claire for a reason, kinda suggests they've had that in mind for quite some time.

Mittelos made the 6 month deal, not Ben.

Know what just occured to me? Jack, Kate and Sawyer all wound up with something injected into them while prisoners.

LOL.. I saw some familiar pictures in that video.

Isn't Ben part of Mittelos though? Seems they were all being dishonest, making her think she was only going to be there 6 months when it looks like they had no intention of letting her leave. Then.. Ben acted as if he planned for Locke to blow up the sub all along.

I just wonder if Juliet decided to spy on the Losties before the sub blew up...if she was acting the entire time, to convince Jack that she was trustworthy, or if she decided to join forces with Ben afterwards. I guess I'm wondering if she was evil all along, or just now that she thinks she's stuck on the island. Either way she (the character) is a pretty good actress.

Yeah, there's a difference between looking James Ford up, and knowing he plugged a man the night before the flight. Big difference.

I especially liked the "Uncle Ben: The Others Will Rise" rice advertisement.

Well, it seemed they intended to employ her for 6 months, then things got extended. Ben manipulated her, but he didn't make the promise of only 6 months.

Then.. Ben acted as if he planned for Locke to blow up the sub all along.
Ben wanted Locke to do it so Juliet and Jack would stay. He kept his promise, but exploited an avenue of getting around his promise... remember what he said to Locke about that when Locke was chained to the pipes?

After that look she gave Ben... I'm not even going to guess right now what her motivations are.

That's what I love about this show... they keep me guessing.

Yes! The show is completely frustrating sometimes but it is like crack. Frustrating in a good way somehow. I guess some people have lost interest with all they mysteries, but for some reason I love it.

Sometimes I post stuff, wondering about this or that, and it's fun to come back once the show has either proven or disproved a theory or idea..or just blown it all away. I don't think I remember there ever being a show this fun to watch.. well besides cartoons when I was little.

Juliet very definately has a different motivation now.
And she has learned alot from watching Ben play people.
This should be interesting.

I noticed in the flashbacks from when Ethan was injecting Claire with the serum that the vials had the same "4 8 15 16 23 42" designation as the vials that Desmond and Kelvin were injecting themselves with. I'm not sure that was the case in "Maternity Leave", but I haven't gone back to check.

If Juliet developed the serum and the numbers are the same, where did Kelvin and Desmond get it from and why were they injecting themselves with it? Continuity error, or something more?

Something more.

Juliet's story about Claire going into immunological shock was bogus... the Others had placed something in Claire that could be activated and cause her to "get sick." Juliet's story was a cover so she could swoop in and establish some trust.

But we keep seeing the serum pop up... like you indicated. It protects against something else, and what that something else is we'll see later.

Ethan probably came the closest to the telling the truth about it... he claimed it was to protect the baby. Obviously something is loose on the island that requires an immunization... at least for some people.

I can't shake the feeling that some of the Losties are different from others biologically.

Yeah, we still have Danielle's "sickness" to consider...unless she's an Other or just plain crazy/deceptive. It doesn't seem like a plotline they'd just drop. There's also the quarantine sign on the inside of the hatch plate(s).

Juliet seemed to think that the pregnancy difficulties were only caused if the children were conceived on the island. If that's the case, then Danielle, Claire and Sun wouldn't/won't have any problems with their pregnancies. Hmmm.

Also, if the island cures things (like Rose's cancer and Locke's paralysis), then it could also be viewing pregnancy as a foreign invasion to be eliminated. Or something. Although that wouldn't exactly explain why the mothers are dying, too.
