Identify this:

Off the top of my head, a german translation on Dante's works with seven virtues and sins?

Nein.

This is an original work, and it's by someone who started off on the Lutheran side, not the Catholic one.

Nope. The guy in question was known more for his theological work than his illustrations.

What the upper left diagram illustrates is particularly important to the theology he came up with.

More general than that, even.

Roughly the right time period, though.

The image in question shows up on the first page of a Google Images search for his full name, in case you want to check your guesses.

Well, either your clue of google image search is incorrect, or all of these names are.

Apparently the Wikipedia High Council or whatever decided he was too heretical and mystical to stick with the rest of those stodgy Lutherans.

Good idea, though!

Shucks!

This thread is a great way to practice your internet sleuthing skills.

Great... A castle on top of a hill in Europe. Why don't you just have us find a needle in a needlestack?

That'd be far too easy!

Hint: It's in a capital city.

I've got a couple I want to post so let's see if I can get this rolling again...

Vlad the Impaler's castle?

Depiction of Alamut? :P
