Indiana Jones 4

Tisiphone

Elitist Redheaded Trollop
My friend and I went to see it yesterday after gorging on a sinful amount of sushi. It was okaaaaaaay. Mindless, cheesy fun.

I'm not all that interested in seeing it, I really want to see Ironman :rwmad:

Yeah, I need to see that, too. I'm waiting for The Strangers, though. The trailer scares the fuck out of me, but at least I won't be seeing it alone. And I think we'll go during the day....

I don't like horror movies anymore. They're mostly just blood and guts and shit.. I haven't really liked any of them since Hellraiser.

Oooh...love 'em. The Japanese are about the only ones still making decent ones.

Did you know they're talking about remaking Hellraiser? *shakes head*

NOOOO! I don't see how they could make it better.

People have no original thought anymore. Fuckers.

Well, I'm off like a dirty shirt. Laterz!

Don't forget to wait for the scene after the credits. Worth the wait.

I LIKED INDY 4 I THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD.

Cassie you didn't like The Ring? I thought that was a scary movie that relied on suspense rather than guts / gore... Though generally I agree with your criticism. Bigtime.

I'm personally looking forward to the M. Night Shyamalan movie that comes out next month, early reviews say it's really scary.

Saw Indy 4 last night. Liked it. Didn't love it.

Very ambivalent about the whole sci-fi angle it had.

I hope so. I want to believe that after his past couple films, Shyamalamadingdong's got nowhere to go but up...but I know that isn't necessarily true.

I gave up on scary movies.. so I didn't even see The Ring. If you think it's worth renting maybe I'll get it sometime.

The Ring was okay. The original version is better.

Might I suggest anything by Dario Argento, or The Sentinel (not the one from a couple of years ago, but a great horror flick from the 70's).

I know this is going to sound retarded and American, but I never watched Ringu because I really don't enjoy subtitles most of the time.

Honestly, I thought Ringu was totally overrated. About the only thing that's better about it than the American version is that the girl is a lot scarier.

Being irritated by subtitles is nothing to be ashamed of. Having to flick your eyes to the bottom of the screen every couple seconds causes you to miss a lot of visual nuances in the rest of the frame. Personally I consider it a lesser evil than, say, being distracted by overdubbed dialogue not matching the actor's lip movements. But preference can go either way.

What drove me nuts about Ringu was that fucking "psychic" who stopped to explain what was going on every fifteen minutes.

lol.. I'm horribly uneducated about movies. My favorite horror movies are Hellraiser, Fantasm, and Nightmare on Elm Street. I think I'm just a wuss, I'd rather read horror than watch it.

Well that's kinda separate, but I totally agree, I'd rather read a good King spook novel than WATCH a scary movie. Like I loved The Mist when I read it, but don't bother to watch the movie. (Should note that I watch most movies for free on my laptop.)

I think I spelled Phantasm wrong, YES I DID.

I used to read tons of Stephen King, haven't read anything for awhile though.

That's because you were thinking of orgasm.

The only King novel that I gave me the creeps as a movie/tv show was IT.
